When I look at the game libraries of Xbox360 and PS3 all I see are shooting, rpg, racing, and sports games. When I look at the Wii, I see a fewless of these categories, but many morepuzzle, platforming, and party type games. Therefore, doesn't the Wii offer more?

It offers more if you have a lot of Family game nights or parties. I think it also wins in the platforming arena

It has the best exclusives library yes. Even more impressive than the ps3's exclusive line up all things considered. Overall though, it falls short of even the 360.

It's subjective on which exclusives you like best. But there's no arguing that there's a lot more for both the PS3 and 360 thanks to to the combination of quality exclusives and multiplats that both systems offer. Even Nintendo's platforming superiority is challenged when you start to figure in downloadable titles...particularly on XBLA where you have games like Super Meat Boy. Sure those systems have shooters, but they also have a WRPGs, JRPGs, adventure titles, and open-world titles...a lot of them.

In my opinion the Wii offers a more complete gaming experience, but there is nothing definitive. The quality of art is ultimately subjective.

The Wii pisses me off. With other platforms you get a lot less frustration. Plus, IMO the DS is the king of puzzle games.

The Wii doesn't have that many good platformers, there's a few that are almost all first party then it falls off a cliff

Doesn't have many puzzle games either

It's got a load of party games though

I read your entire post; I only highlighted the first sentence because that was the part I disagreed with. And no, it's subjective. Any system can have the most exclusives, but whether or not those are worth anything is a matter of opinion. Epic Yarn, Metroid, Epic Mickey, the Galaxies, etc. can be as good as they want to be, but they don't mean anything if the player in question is interested in those titles, or thinks they're trash for whatever reason.

nice hypocrisy there friend. If the exclusives library is subjective, even if it has more, then the same thing goes for the ENTIRE library.

When will we all agree that Wii=360=PS3 in terms of quality games? Each system has awesome games depending on what you're looking for.

Stick with your exclusive numbers argument if you think any other explanation is hypocritical.

I can just as easily sit here and objectively say that its exclusive library isn't as strong as other's based on its hardware limitations.

I said it was challenged by games like Super Meat Boy, and it is. In the context of this thread, it's important to point out that there's quality titles in genres like platforming on other systems besides the Wii.

In general, the Wii's library is garbage (I blame the third-parties and their strange thing for mediocrity), but when it comes down to first-party devs, they tend to make games shine like a mirror in the middle of the savanna.

Actually I agree with StarWarsgeek; I'd say there's an approximate 75% garbage game on any system, and 25% which are acceptable. A small proportion of those 25% are outstanding.

Depends on one's personal tastes. For some, the Wii is fantastic, for others, its crap. Unfortunately, too many people think that their viewpoints are right, and everyone else is wrong.

Depends on how you look at it. As a primary console, it might be the worst of the lot seeing as it misses out on a lot of multiplats, but it might be the best secondary console, seeing as it has games that are unlike anything you'll find on other consoles.

Unless of course you game on PC, and get the best versions of all the multiplats.

I'm a high school senior and I play Wii because I love all the 1st party titles and I really enjoy other games like Goldeneye, Bully, and Guitar Hero. I really enjoy playing FPS's like Halo and COD, but I'd rather buy own all the Nintendo series games rather than 100 FPS's.

It isn't even arguable in the slightest.

--

From October to December:

Wii

Kirby's Epic Yarn
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Goldeneye 007
Epic Mickey
WiiParty

360

Super Meat Boy
Fable III
Kinect games

PS3

Gran Turismo 5

--

The Wii trounced all over the other two this holiday. DKCR alone does most of the damage.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I should've said 'secondary platform'. I have a gaming PC and a Wii, and I feel it's like the ultimate combo.

Or ps3 and a pc. Because some multiplats don't come to the pc and the ps3 has a ton of quality exclusives as well.

Both are great combo's though.

Name a couple multiplats that didn't come to PC. The fact the PC gets the definitive versions of these games 95% of the time overrules any "few" that it doesn't get.

And "a ton of quality exclusives" is a bit of an exaggeration. A lot of the exclusive experiences available on the PS3, are available in similar forms on both the 360 (action and shooter games especially) and the Wii (platformers are easily better on the Wii). The only games I'd say that no other platform has anything like, would be MSG4, Demon's Souls and The Last Guardian. Ironically, the only games I'd like to have a PS3 for.

Red dead redemption, soulcalibur 4.

A ton of quality exclusives is not an exaggeration, because it's my opinion.

Okay... how about a few more? I could sit here for 20 minutes listing all the multiplats the PC does get that are a vastly better experience. I personally would say that missing out on a few multiplats is a sacrifice most should be willing to make for vastly better experiences overall. Not to mention game-changing mods like Nehrim for Oblivion that adds a completely new game that is over 50 hours long... and entirely free.

And you should be using the qualifier "enjoyable" instead of "quality" if you want to discuss your opinion.

If you like casual games and platformers, yes. If you like mature games and shooters, no.

jeez calm down... I just said there are some multiplats that don't come to the pc is all. You only said list a couple. Why take what I said like it was an assult on the pc?

The Ps3 does have alot of quality exclusives, and that's not my opinion :? The polish on games like Uncharted 2 and littlebigplanet is incredible.

I know this is sw, but don't take it this seriously.

If you like mature games and shooters, no. carljohnson3456

Define "mature." Because I haven't played very many mature games on any of the consoles this gen.
