Define "mature." Because I haven't played very many mature games on any of the consoles this gen.

Unless of course you game on PC, and get the best versions of all the multiplats.theuncharted34
Yeah, that's what I meant. I should've said 'secondary platform'. I have a gaming PC and a Wii, and I feel it's like the ultimate combo.
Or ps3 and a pc. Because some multiplats don't come to the pc and the ps3 has a ton of quality exclusives as well.
Both are great combo's though.
I don't think there are that many multiplats not coming to the PC that are on the PS3. Sure, there's RDR and a few others, but there's some multiplats that are on PC but not on PS3 either. You're always gonna miss out on some games, but what I was saying is that the Wii probably has the most unique experiences to offer in terms of its exclusives. You can't find games like SMG1&2 and Brawl on any other console, while I think a 360 exclusive such as Halo Reach for example is easier to 'replace' with another game on PC.

yep, I agree with that. The wii has the best and most varied exclusives in my opinion. :)

Console shooters aren't casual games?[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]If you like casual games and platformers, yes. If you like mature games and shooters, no. Bigboi500
some are, some aren't.
Killzone would be more hardcore, while call of duty would be more casual.
Console shooters aren't casual games? Not all of them, no.[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]If you like casual games and platformers, yes. If you like mature games and shooters, no. Bigboi500
[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]and who's to say the wii's exclusives aren't quality? I mean sure it gets alot of shovelware, but that doesn't make the quality games it has non existent.[QUOTE="standarddamage"]
It's times like this I'm glad I don't take System Wars seriously.
So far you've basically accused me of being a hypocrite, not completely reading your post, and not knowing what I talking about three times over. What's actually happening here is that you're missing my point...
"It's subjective on which exclusives you like best, but there's no arguing that there's a lot more for both the PS3 and 360 thanks to to the combination of qualityexclusives and multiplats that both systems offer.
I obviously should have done a better job of breaking this down for you, but I was trying to speak to the quality, not quantity,of both the exclusives and multiplats and throw away the numbers. In my opinion I feel that there are more quality exclusives as well as an overall better library on the other systems.
I just thought I should make sure you knew where I was coming from before I sign off for the night.
And same to you! Merry Christmas. :)

Hell it's arguable that the wii had the best holiday lineup in terms of exclusives
it isn't arguable and he know's it :PLet me help the two of you out...
I never said the Wii's exclusives weren't quality. I said the other systems had more quality exclusives in my opinion and a better overall library. And I agree that the Wii may have had the best exclusive Holiday Line up this year, especially seeing as I enjoyed both Epic Mickey and Kirby immensely and am looking forward to giving DKC Returns a shot. But one good holiday season doesn't change my overall personal view of what's the least played game system in our home. Sure, it certainly has a lot of exclusives, it's bound to because it's on a different technical level, but whether those are good or not boils down to personal opinion.

Ignorant comment of the thread, congratulations.
The backwards compatibility of the Wii with NES, SNES, Genesis, Gamecube and N64 actually makes it the superior system. When I look at the titles for xbox360 and ps3 I'm not impressed since most of these can be played on a superior system, the PC. Where not only the games are not only cheaper (except for Activision titles), but can also be modded.
The Wii however provides a nice alternative, it's small, white, looks stylish, doesn't make much noise (this actually makes a huge difference whether a console lands in the living or gets shoved aside in the childrens room and yes if you're under 18 years old, you're considered a child). The games for it are very different and you can even bring nongamers to enjoy it. With Nintendo finally recognising that the people want platform games, we're also being treated a return to classic 2D Mario, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Something people in my generation has been waiting for quite a long time.
So yeah, if you want something alternative than the usual run of the mill FPS games and a console that provides a more unique experience, then the Wii is still relevant.
No, it doesn't.When I look at the game libraries of Xbox360 and PS3 all I see are shooting, rpg, racing, and sports games. When I look at the Wii, I see a fewless of these categories, but many morepuzzle, platforming, and party type games. Therefore, doesn't the Wii offer more?

Wow, pretentious much? Quit taking issue with what I said, because you know exactly what I meant.carljohnson3456
Family oriented games, yes. But PS3 library has the best variety ranging from say a God of War type of game to a ModNation Racers and everything inbetween.TheMoreYouOwnYou have a lot of research to do.

I feel like you didn't read my opening comment, I feel like the only games that other systems offer are shooters, rpg's, racing, and sports. While God of War isnone of these, I could buy MadWorld and have just as fun doing the same thing you're doing in God of War. If I wanted a good racing experience I could get Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or Mario Kart Wii, not to mention any Gamecube racing game I wanted, and also download racing games from NES-N64, such as FZero.
Heck no. The Wii is by far the best for platforming and party games. But as far as any other genre it has **** on the PS3 or 360.When I look at the game libraries of Xbox360 and PS3 all I see are shooting, rpg, racing, and sports games. In terms of variety I think the Wii is definitely the best. I have over 50 games for Wii now, and they range from Trauma Centre to a Boy and His Blob to No More Heroes 1&2 to Sonic Colours to Goldeneye to Punchout to Tatsunoko Vs Capcom to Battalion Wars 2 to De Blob to House of the Dead: Overkill. I don't think the 360 and PS3 have that much variety. Apart from a few exclusives they're pretty similar. The Wii has an identity of its own.

The backwards compatibility of the Wii with NES, SNES, Genesis, Gamecube and N64 actually makes it the superior system. When the PS3 came out it had virtually no games and couldn't play the PS2 games. Things have changed now, but when I look at the titles for xbox360 and ps3 I'm not impressed since most of these can be played on a superior system, the PC. Where not only the games are not only cheaper (except for Activision titles), but can also be modded.

First ps3's could play all PS2 games.. which gave it a great library I guess.[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]Wow, pretentious much? Quit taking issue with what I said, because you know exactly what I meant.

EDIT: And funny how you can not read into my comment that I meant "mature rated games" but somehow you read into my comment that I think kiddie games are stupid.

I think the Wii does have the best exclusives, and beats 360 and PS3 in Platformers hands down. I'm not a fanboy by any means, and own all three consoles, but I really think the Wii is quite underrated by people.

This is exactly what I'm getting at. There are so many good games of the same genre on 360 and PS3, but I think people's opinions are so influenced by others that they agree with everyone else and say that the Wii is stupid and for little kids because the only games for it are Barbie and Dora the Explorer, but in reality there are so many exclusive games of different genre's that make it more unique then the other consoles. It seems that all the exclusives for the other two consoles are just shooters and racing games.
