When I saw who made this thread, I thought "Well, I can't wait to see how he bashes another PS3 game"...Well, it seems you have some bad pics. If GT5 looks like that, then congrats, you've succeeded in bringing down GT.

Since your history is kinda spotty, I am going to wait until some GT5 shots pop up to make sure though...

EDIT: Well, TC, it looks like you have been busted. This whole thread is a fraud, but the damage is done, once again.

The TRUTHabout these screenshots.

1024x576 is NOT the native resolution of the game.

It's 1440x1080.The game uses horizontal upscaling to display at 1080i/p.

These images were taken form GTPlanet.net in a demonstration to compare 1080i and 720p.

The person who took the images went to the hosting source and had it compressed down from its native resolution.

These images were not just upscaled by the game to 1080i (INTERLACED) from 1440x1080, but they were compressed down to 1024x576p by the image host.

The image compression methods used by this particular host results in massive amounts of aliasing.

Yikes - hmm, this is what happens to GT5's visuals if they actually try to run high physics parameters & damage modeling like Forza 2. :P

Something not right here and will need to wait to see if these shots are for real.

:) so there are there people who actually believe GT5 will look like that ? i just checked again GT5P and it looks better than those images, so am pretty much sure GT5 will look on par as GT5P maybe with a slightly improved car models (if possible) :)

But am sure PS3 haters will take those 2 images and be sure thats how GT5 (finished game) will look :)

then we're back to the same old argument that images dont do justice to games... I play GT5P on my HDTV and trust me it looks better.. but i know its a waiste of time discussing such matters with you... wanna bash GT5p & GT5, be my guest..

Problems with the graphics:

- low detailed, low polygon count, unrealistic looking environments

- simplistic, ugly textures

- poor lighting

- absense of partical effects

- severe pop-in to the point where the poles in the distance have actually dissapeared

- Cars have been overly bump mapped and appear fake... even shiny with no trace of wear even on the tires

This game needs to be scrapped and redone for it to have a chance at looking halfway decent. Very dissapointing.

GT5p is a demo and not the final build so GT5 won't look exactly like GT5p.
