Don't understand why consoles still exist after the ps1/n64

Maybe because they sell well. You know, supply and demand. Perception is everything. When you look outside your own tiny little bubble, you tend to learn things.

Man I don't understand self professed gamers worry about how other gamers game. To each his own.

Consoles have ease of use going for them. But I agree with the OP that PC is potentially better in every other way. I've been primarily a PC gamer since the mid 90's, but I still buy consoles from time to time for the media features and exclusive games.

Probably cause consoles just have better games than pc.

I've had way, way more issues with my Blu-ray rentals than with my DVD rentals. The copy-protection, the way the AACS keys are set up, is very annoying and anti-consumer.

Optical media died in like 2003. I don't know anyone who still has an optical drive on their PC.

What? That isn't even factual- I would say it is dead now and died about 2-5 years ago, but certainly not in 2003.
