dou you think that M$ should pay more attention to 360's exclusives?

for sure xbox 360 has alot of great exclusive titles like gears or alan wake or halo.

but when you look at other companies and the way they support their oweners in terms of "exclusives" you see that M$ is not the best.

(I have to mention that by support I don't mean number of games.I'm talking about quality of games.so please don't start to count

down exclusives on each platform.)

If they want to continue succeed in the console business then they better step it up with exclusives. The main reasons they had the early lead over the PS3 was better selection of games and price both of which are gone now.

They don't really need to. The strategy they have had up until now seems like it is working for them, but it would be nice if they gave more attention to exclusives.

Well from a marketing standpoint they don't need to. The system sold 40 million units with just Halo. (Though I'd like to now how many of them were RRoD replacements) made a ridiculous fortune off LIVE, and overpriced hard drives and other accessories.

In the meantime sony looses money of the console so their forced to step up and do something if they want to recover their losses on the hardware.

I think so, if you don't like Halo theres no reason to get a 360 over a PC or a PS3. MS needs to build a stronger backbone. And don't quote me and link me to a spreadsheet with tons of games from 2005-2007 that are old and only excluisve because when they were made/annouced when there were no other conosles. Today they'd all be multiplat practically. MS failed big time this gen imo.

Yes, along with the whole timed DLC thing, and a Halo and Gears game every other year. 2006 Gears, 2007 Halo 3, 2008 Gears 2, 2009 Halo ODST, 2010 Halo Reach, 2011 Gears 3.

i think M$ is screwed for 2011. I mean the only game we know thats coming out in 2011 is GEOW3 and maybe Codename: Kingdom's. Theres also that Star Wars game but I really think that will be a fail. First, because it's too late, we're almost 5 years into this gen.

And secondly, because the inmense majority of quality games are multiplats.

If the xbox 360 fan base keep acting like exclusives don't matter, Then M$isn't going to lift a finger to do anything more.

If they can make money off multiplats they won't riska single penny to put money into a project that might actually lose money, that's how M$ works.

Exclusives are important, but there's games like crackdown 2, that are good, but i cant get them because of backlog and games coming soon.

They don't think they need to. The 360 is sellng fine without them.

On topic: i thought seriously about buying an x360 at the begining of this generation, it had many exclusives i wanted, on the top of them was NG2, but the x360 is losing steam, most of its previous exclusives are multi (the same goes for Sony) but Sony's first party new and old IPs are just too much good to be missed, unlike the x360 imo.

Probably not the best example, but it illustrate the point quite well.

What matters is what the costumer actually finds worth in, not how much do companies spend making a product.

if you hadn't notice 360 fans seem to be content with mostly buying multiplats. Look at the most hyped games by xbox360 fans here, they don't even hyped their own exclusives as much as they to multiplats now. It's not that they (xbox fans) don't want great exclusives, it's the fact that M$ isn't making any and instead of xbox fans speaking out in opposition to tell M$ to do something about it, they make excluses for them.

That's how it is now. M$ will still make moeny from xbox fans because they don't holdthem accountable for only putting out 1 high quality exclusive for xbox360 and usually only at the end of the year.

Hardware is not how most gamers judge the value of a console. The PSP has more features than the DS, yet the DS is the one considered better by most people.

Hardware isnot howmost gamers judge the value of a console. The PSP has more functions than the DS, yet the DS is the one considered better by most people.

when we talk value Vs Price, we should think of what you get when you pay the 300$ or the 250$ in x360.s case .... i agree Software also determines alot about software costs aren't within the console price, this is the point.
