I think it looks great too. But everyone is denying that the original real-time showing was better.

If there's no HUD, then it's not gameplay.

If its not gameplay, then one cannot make any definitive judgements.

If no definitive judgements can be made, then I don't care.

It looks better than Halo 2, but it does not look as good as the E3 06 teaser, which was supposedly realtime. I am dead serious. Those textures are of lower quality and there is less contrast between different layers of armor. In other words, I see less depth, leading me to believe that model is using fewer polygons. How can anyone deny that those textures are downgraded?

It is a downgrade if in fact that screen is in-game. Look at that screen compared to the screen of the 2006 E3 "in-engine" trailer. But yeah, I kind of knew it would happen. Who honestly cares....

Plus all screen shot and movies weve seen of crysis are still DX9. There are not any DX10 yet. That will come at E3.

Funny but i like the new way better because it makes the armor look way realistic and more metalic. Imo this is the best looking version of H3 so far.

The hype train is totally out of controll for this game and I thought I set in some realistic expectations. I saw the game at GDC and let me tell you guys it doesn't look anything like the CG trailer. I am not saying it wasn't impressive, it was kinda impressive. I thought it was a mix of Black and FEAR in HD

So guys settle down a little! I also think Halo 3 single player mode is going to destroy Killzone graphically

You are right, and they wont. They heard some fanboy claim "lolz halo 2 in hd" and then all of them decided to use that line ever since. The halo 2 to halo 3 comparison on the previous page proves that halo 3 is a huge improvement over halo 2.

Frankie has already said you can go to that exact spot in campaign, drop the controller and have master chief take that exact same pose, and take your own picture. In other words; IT'S COMPLETELY IN-GAME.

Thats not far from the truth. SDTV can make some games look really bad. Which is why i have an HDTV. All sports games on SDTVs look like last gen sports games. For instance NBA 2K7. It looks just a bit better than last gen. On a HDTV it looks amazing.
