Dragon Age 2 is going to be the biggest flop of the year

I don't think that anyone would argue that this game is coming out in march and the footage shown is simply heinous. It doesn't have the combat system of dragon age but instead choose to have a kingdom hearts/dynasty warriors esque gameplay. It looks awful has mediocre graphics, and seemingly has that 'too human' feeling I have with it. I wonder how hard this game is going to tank. I imagine a 70+ metacritic, and less than 2 million sold. I think this game is going to tank unimaginably hard. Like bioware is going to lose employees because of this game.

2 million sold would not be an unimaginable tank would it? I think ME only sold around that didn't it? Either way, I'm sure sales will be fine, but I have yet to see a video that makes it look enjoyable, the simplicity of the menu looks more dull than minimalist, less NPC customization, etc. Meh. 110million

I think its gonna be more of the same and won't be nearly as good the second time around. Hope I'm wrong though, but it sucks that the PC version got consolized.

i'd be inclined to disagree, Bioware is going to deliver on this one.

Well, it did shut me up, yes I was one of those elitists. Now I will pass my verdict until I actually play the game. I am still cautiosly optimistic about it though, but I wont speak negatively of it. They gave Civ 5 a 93% and I thought that game was very meh.

I'd love to see it getting GotY just for the lulz... man, those hermits and their TW2 would RAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!

And I still preordered it. You can still zoom out in the PC version. And the moaning is coming from people with limited information. No one knows how good it will be.

The hate BioWare and DA2 are receiving is pretty damn laughable considering how similar every single DA2 video looks to the original. The only significant downgrades I've seen are them dropping the origin stories and the isometric camera from the PC version, and even then it seems you can zoom out a pretty reasonable distance.

Whatever the problems with the game, i think reviewers will overlook just because it is bioware. It will be a huge sucess with it's score.

How can it flop if barely anyone is hyping it? :roll:

Mass Effect dumbed down the RPG elements of the original and it got GOTY awards galore. Not too concerned about DA2.

It is true bioware gets a free pass. I am still bewildered that mass effect 2 was hailed in terms of level design and story. The story was neither well written or original, and the level design was awful. Bioware is a great developer, but their games have apparent flaws that are not represented in any reviews. I don't know why but I imagine it has to do with production values and presentation which is what made mass effect 2 such an excellent game. Neither is the case for dragon age 2 but it will get a free pass for being a bioware game at sites like ign.

Critics won't flop a bioware game like that. The fanboy goggles will be on. As Svenson of Capcom said, he cares more about what random angry guy #354 on amazon has to say about his game rather than a random game reviewer #434 and I happen to think the same way.

Game is coming out too soon for me. One year of development for a sequel...I am just going to wait and buy the Ultimate Edition.
