I just wish Bioware would stop calling them RPG's... and instead call their games action games.
Because of them we'll soon have halo games in the running for "best RPG" of the year.
Who cares?
It's not like DA:O was some Masterpiece either.
If you have a Good PC,how about picking up the Witcher 2 instead of making a dumb thread about DA2?

Actually, a lot of people feel that Dragon Age: Origins was a masterpiece and the sequel we got was anything but. If this thread bothers you so much that you had to edit your post twice just to articulate how much you hate it, then you need some serious psychiatric adjustment.
Nope. That would be Resident Evil 5.Master_ShakeXXXI have to agree that game is up there. RE is now a game that is not even a horror game anymore so all that is left is a really bad shooter. As the years went by they took away the horror part but did not improve the shooting aspect.
DA2 compared to 1 is overall just bad, but its more or less the same honestly.
My vote goes to starcraft 2. SC2 recieved critcal acclaim and generally a good reception from the public, but ultimately it doesn't have the same qualities as the first game. Absolutely ZERO innovation in any manner for an RTS. Glorified SC1 mod with better graphics(lol), pathing and adjustments in unit stats.
After playing CoH, it really put my perception at a jaded spin when looking at Blizzard. So honestly, after waiting 10+ years SC2 is genuinely one of the worst sequals in comparison to the original.
Next in line. Duke Nukem Forever.
More so than Devil May Cry 2? Cause man...that really sucked. Bread_or_DecideIf DMC2 was ever released, that would be the worst.

[QUOTE="Syn_Valence"]Merill ThanksSorry but isabella and that elf chick you meet(voiced by gwen from TORCHWOOD) made that game.........COME ON

It was very dumb down compared to the first game. The first one felt like a genuine baldurs gate knock off done right and modern. Dragon Age 2 felt more like a cash in for the casual crowd. While Dragon Age 2 still were a good and polished game it still felt lacking in everything.

Even as someone that hasn't playedDMC I know thefirst rule of Devil May Cry. There is no DMC2.
I mean even if there was a DMC2, it would be a rush job made by a different team. Dragon Age 2 was by the same company and people as Dragon Age 1, much more disappointing.[QUOTE="NeonNinja"]

Thankfully, we don't have to live in such a world, because there is no Devil May Cry 2. Dragon Age II, on the other hand, is quite real, and quite disappointing.Your poll sucks TC. Yes, DA2 is disappointing, but Devil May Cry 2 was a worse sequel imo.
EDIT: Socom Confrontation was bad too. I don't care who made it, it was a sequel, and it damn near killed the franchise. Thankfully the updates fixed the game somewhat...
Dragon Age 2 is probably my most disappointing sequel this gen. But Deus Ex: Invisible War still takes most disappointing sequel of all time for me. I still don't know how Ion Storm managed to miss what everyone loved about the first game by that large a margin.
You should try Far Cry 2, Devil May Cry 2, and perhaps FEAR 2. Ok, FEAR 2 wasn't in the league of the other 2, but it was still a huge let down :(
At first when it came out and saw a friend playing the first thing that came to my mind is *lol another joke game that won billion awards for some unknown reasons (like MGS4 and GTA4)* but when i bought it (was 10$ at gamestop) and get passed its ugly graphics, the game is really nice and long. At the end, i enjoyed a game i wasn't even supposed to bother trying.Hate to break it to ya, but DA1 wasn't that good either

Dragon Age had a really phenominal class system, but the story was pretty meh. I bought the Ultimate Edition and thought it was worth the money, but I do think its fans put the game on to high a pedastal.
DA2 was okay. Not nearly as bad as its haters were making it out to be but not as good as the first game.
this. i almost cried when i played deus ex IW... in a bad wayNo, Deus Ex: invisible war is by far a more disappointing sequel than DA2 will ever be.

yeap. dragon age origins is propably the best rpg i ve played. good story , huge quests which spawned other quests (arl eamon plotline comes to mind), memorable characters rewarding rpg combat, lots of intreresting dialogue ect...Your options on the poll suck. It's not the best sequel, nor it's not the worst one.Seriously, Dragon Age II is one of the WORST RPG ever made, it even worse than FF XIII
Many of you said FF XIII is trash, because of the linearity and un-likeable character such as Snow, Hope, and Sarah, but hey at least it has variety in levels and dungeons, unlike Dragon Age II
From when you start the game until you finished the game you only meet one town. ONE TOWN? ONLY KIRKWALL? Not to mention that the town is bland...
And not to mention the repetition of levels and dungeons...man, all dungeon in Dragon Age II is all similar! It just another copy-paste bla bla bla
This is definitely weird, because in Dragon Age I, you met many towns! So why the hell the sequel only got one?
And then the characters, while Dragon Age I contains many likeable characters such as Morrigan, Leliana, Alistair, Stein, the Dragon Age II have none
If Mass Effect 2 had Miranda, Dragon Age I had Morrigan/Leliana, in Dragon Age II there's no interesting woman character you want to have flirt with
And the weakest part in Dragon Age II is story, it's strange because Dragon Age I had a very memorable story. Dragon Age II just talk about templar-mage bla bla bla, who cares with templar and mage, there's darkspawn out there waiting to be killed!
And not to mention the ending....really....even FF XIII had a decent ending! Dragon Age II simply suck....
Just when I thought WRPG is better than JRPG, when I looked at Dragon Age II, I simply can't admit that, Dragon Age II is one of the worst RPG ever made, rare because for me, Dragon Age is one of the RPG I ever played...What about you? Do you think Dragon Age II is the most disappointing sequel ever, or do you think it's like Uncharted 2?
ihsanqueen
I didn't read the OP but the most disappointing sequel ever is most definitely by far hands down no contest"assassin's" creed brotherhood. ACI & II is really good games, "A"CB is one of the worst games this gen.
charlesdarwin55
You havn't played many games this Generation then. Honestly, to say AC:B is the worst game this gen is just facepalming. Have you played The Conduit? Naruto Dragon Blade Chronicles? Need for Speed Nitro?
