Dragon Ball Z Action RPG Announced

For those interested this was announced today for PC/X1/PS4.

Personally looking forward to this, big fan of dbz, thoughts?

I expect Bandai/Namco to ask Switch owners to Port beg, other wise, their relationship with Nintendo must have turned sour after Nintendo cancelled MP4 from their Singapore studio

Yeah, hopefully get some more details soon, seems like its a 2019 title. I'm just hyped for a dbz rpg.

DragonBall Z: Attack of the Saiyans was the best DBZ rpg that I played. I'll keep an eye on this one.

I am excited for this. More dragon ball is always a good thing for me, just not loving the plot though. Most people probably already know DBZ plots by heart now, its better if they head towards DBS since not as many watched the series

Always thought dragon ball looked incredible lame, however always up for some rpg fun, so if it turns out good i might give it a spin!

Awesome man! Loved the DBZ action rpg games on GBA. Legacy of Goku II and III were probably the best DBZ games ever imo.

I'll let you know as soon as they show the game. What I can say from that is that it looks like Dragon Ball. Which I'm not a fan of, but I'm open to good games, franchise doesn't matter.

Looks great. I really like Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure on the GBA.

The trailer looks good but Goku's story is already well known. It would be much more interesting if they allowed you to create your own character and feature a different story.

Doomguy is weak, puny and pathetic by DBZ standards... Even the likes of Krillin or Yamcha curbstomp Doomguy.

As someone on the PC I've basically missed all the games up until Xenoverse, which was pretty meh.

So yea, looking forward to this. Only complaint is that it's on Z and not the original Dragonball, which tends to get massively overlooked.

Day 1 for me. I would have prefered them doing the Super storyline though. I've been through Zs storys so many times

Yeah super would of been cool but the series isn't finished yet which is maybe why they went with DBZ, I'm assuming if this is successful we will see a sequel for DBS.

I'll buy it if it's good. I loved the Legacy of Goku series, so hopefully this game can scratch the itch that Sagas couldn't.

I thought Xenoverse had fairly weak combat so hopefully this is better.

Would love to see Platinum make a DBZ game, something like one of their hack and slash games.

This looks very interesting. I definitely wanna know what the gameplay will be like and how far the story goes. Still, a Dragon Ball Action RPG with official voice acting and exploration has a ton of potential.

I love the cell shaded visuals with UE4. Dragonball fighters was the first great DBZ game in my opinion so I am optimistic about this.

I am actually excited for this. I've been wanting another Dragonball game that felt like I was in the universe since Budokai 1 (cutscenes.) Granted, I haven't played a lot of them, but a Dragon Ball Z RPG? Finally, I'll get to explore the world.

I liked the NES and SNES and the 3DS RPG, they had charm that only the retro 2D nature could fill.

I can't imagine being able to sit down for 40+ hours in a DBZ 3D RPG that tries to take itself seriously.... telling the same old tired story, with the same limited characters and world...

Like Dragonball, but it just has no flexibility in its world... it's as bad as sonic with all these random made up characters that look similar.

No its not, the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga just started, it takes place after the Broly movie.

I can't believe a big studio has never done this yet... Sure, we had a couple way back in the day on Gameboy or something, but why not a full fledged one? They have the story for it, and the characters. Well, I'm kind of hyped, although I would like to see actual gameplay, first.

nothing but cutscenes. not 1 glimpse of gameplay.

also the graphics even in those cutscenes still looked like shit.

anyway, lets see how it turns out. ive been meaning to start watching the dragonball anime but havnt yet.
