Dragon Quest VIII announced for 3DS

What a joke.

So that means that DQ VII for the 3DS will not come outside of Japan then. And there sure as hell that DQ VIII will not as well :(

@shibua: how many great JRPGs does the 3DS have?

More than any other system this generation so far.

@Blabadon: Don't have to, do I? The system gets enough JRPGs (So sheer volume) from square and atlus that a self professed genre fan like finalstar would jump on it.

Fantastic game but would be a nightmare to play portably I think.

I really, really want to play this, hopefully it will come to NA.

DQVIII was was released on Android in 2013 in japan and last year everywhere else.

Maybe on your little crappy 2DS, but on my New Nintendo 3DS XL it would be a marvelous experience. :P

Lol touche, I was thinking more of being in the middle of battle when it's time to get off the bus rather than any screen issues tho :P

looks like Japan only so far

I'll buy this if it comes to NA even though I'd prefer it on console.

Vita also gets a lot(though not much else besides indies and some other niche japanese games admittedly), they might be pretty close.

Really hope it comes to NA, love me some DQ8
