The Dreamcast just didn't lived up to the Saturn because it just didn't had the time, but as it stands, the Saturn had much more than what the Dreamcast offered, that's why it was a disappointment for me.Â

The GameCube was the much better console. Despite Sega's best efforts and indeed some of the greatest games of all time gracing the console (Shenmue; Soul Calibur; Skies of Arcadia; Ikaruga), its life was cut short far too early. To me, the GameCube offered just as high quality titles, but at least had the ability to sustain gamers for a whole generation.
Plus although the Dreamcast was innovative feature-wise (online internet support; visual memory units), I think the console was too under-powered. In comparison with even the PS2, the Dreamcast wouldn't have been able to survive for the whole 2000-present generation. It was a dream in the three years it lasted, but anything beyond that would be irrelevant when measured up to other consoles.

The Saturn had more quality games than the Dreamcast in every area.
If only they had combined forces, could you imagine it? The dreamcast looks amazingly cool, and had wonderful games and online stuff, and the gamecube had really sweet graphics and nintendo first party games.. such a waste.

Dreamcube > ps2Â
Gamecube obviously. It lasted much longer then the Dreamcast. Sure, the DC was a good console, but it didn't have what it took to survive last gen. Well, that was actually Sega's fault, but whatever.glitchgeemanHonestly you can't blame SEGA for that. The world is plagued with pseudo-gamers that parasite the industry with piracy. You could say that SEGA underestimated the cunning of these vandals, but then again didn't Microsoft too with the Xbox or Sony with the PSP? You can only do so much after all.
