Driveclub 1080p/30fps locked

Did I say there was something wrong with arcade racers? I thought it was supposed to be more realistic, given how much time and energy they put into the visuals (even at great cost -- especially for a racing game). I didn't realize it was just Sony's PGR.

Yeah, PGR was really fun. I've put relatively good time into a couple variations. So is this, like I mentioned before, Sony's PGR with social features?

They hired some of the PGR directors and designers for this game. It's made by a lot of the creators of PGR and Motorstorm and it's supposed to be some sort of social type (team) racing. A lot of the trailers looked realistic but it will be as casual/arcade as they come.

Not sure where it was promoted as a "sim" to begin with. It was hyped for realistic graphics, not necessarily realistic physics.

I'd rather have the best looking racer ever created than a 60fps ps2 level graphics racer like Forza 5. This would look almost like real life on my 65" Bravia HX955.

30fps? That's too much I can't buy the game now, I can only play games at 25fps or I get head spins and crazy.

Ah. I was not aware. I didn't care about it to begin with, though.

Gives me hope that the PS4 is going to get another good game finally.

While I agree there is a difference between the 2 consoles spec wise. The performance is getting closer and much more realistic to the difference in power. The only thing wrong with Forza is the stick like people images. Which Sony fanboys constantly go on about and its only right the 30fps be used in the same way. Forza could have been 30fps and the stick like people would have been no more. Which you prefer is obviously a personal choice. If it was me I'd like a 900p 60fps with graphics as good as it can go.

That's the disappointing thing about current gen hardware. Anything remotely good looking struggles to get above 30fps. But it's just funny because cows think the PS4 is so powerful just because it's more powerful than the Xbox One.

Anyways, with the long delay, I expecting it to be at 60FPS. 60FPS should be standard for all racers and fighters.

I also read that they removed daylight/night cycle.

it take more power to run 720p 60fps than 1080p 30fps so that makes the achievement of Forza 5 is letting you know the x1 has some horsepower under the hood not just hitting 60fps a CONSTANT 60fps at 1080p them crowd cut outs is harsh but in a racing game thats not important but we should give welcome DriveClub and praise Forza for doing a whole lot more than yall give it credit for.

Good thing everyone doesnt have to settle for 30 fps "Sim" racers. Theres nothing arcade about this game except the 30 fps, and the pro driver without any racing gloves/helmet on.

I just like how by proxy the fact I torpedo the XBone makes me a PS4 fanboy on this board.

NFS Rivals & The Crew are 30fps as well I believe. Only Forza 5 is 1080p 60fps.

PGR was a good game, for its time. DC might be fun for what it is, but they cant expect racing enthusiasts to take the game seriously. At announcement, they hyped this game up to be the racing game to end all racing games with ultra-realism. Realistic driving cant be done at 30 fps.

Good thing Project Cars will be on PS4 for those who care.

they had 2 options (they always do);

60fps with crappier graphics

30fps with better graphics

they went for the latter. lems will defend option number 1, and we all know why. wich one is better then? depends on the game.
