Wow, so it's delayed again. That is just sad and any hype that maybe still had buried deep in me, is now gone. How many times are they going to delay this "launch" game. I meani want them to release a good game, but they shouldn't have said it would be a launch game if it was so early in development that it had to be delayed this much.
I have this feeling they no intentions of ever releasing this game in the launch window and only used it so they could claim the ps4 was launching with a racing game like the xbone.

Don't blame the messenger. I found an article, I linked it, I quoted it.
If it's not actually, delayed, that's great news. But the quote says
... go back to the drawing board and make sure the game is great before we ship it. And that’s what’s going on right now with that game.
IGN Article
It looks like what is going on is that they went back to the drawing board. How else are we supposed to read that?
Sad day for cows....Titanfall = 9 and their Forza killer is so bad they have to go back to the drawing board :(
Better to delay or scrap a huge portion of a game that they interally can tell simply isn't high quality like a Forza or GTA. Its obvious Sony wants this franchise to be big, so delaying it in my mind is no different than MS taking its time with Gears of War. Make the game great and people will forgive a long wait. Sell a suckass game and it can kill the franchise.
You get one chance to make a good impression. If the game isn't going to be fun enough right away it's better to delay it than suffer a poor or very mediocre launch. Non-established, new IPs need to have good launches to be successful.
Sony did this with the SSM game they just canceled. They killed the project and basically sent the devs back to the drawing board. It sucks for everybody but it's probably a better long-term investment than just putting out games.
No games are actually better than wasting your resources on bad games. Not saying Driveclub was a bad game but it clearly wasn't doing what the devs really wanted.
I'm actually happy that Sony recognizes the need for quality content, not just filler content. It sucks as I was looking forward to the game, but there's just enough content to float me for awhile.
Wow. You guys need to read the article. I have no interest in this game but no where did they say that it was delayed again. They were mostly talking about the game being delayed before the ps4 launched. Also I believe no release date was ever confirmed for the game since it was delayed. So how can a game be delayed again if no confirmed release date was given?

pretty sure they have but its only right that we laugh at sheens we were told for a bit now that driveclub would surpass forza would be ready for launch blah blah blah then it wasn't and they still kept up with the forza surpass...blah blah blah.
Its the usual sheen backfire.

I'll just go ahead and agree with all of this. :)

It raises the question did they know this was likely to happen when they advertised it at the beginning.

Its good to be optimistic.
Greatness awaits all of you.
@nyzma23: LOL pretty much saids it all right there. Delaystation all ova again
all joke aside, but Drive Club could have been out by now if devs used a 12 year old Source engine like in TitanFall without a single player.

Pretty much this.
Cant wait for the DC from PS4 fanboys if Infamous and The Order flop. Whats going on with PS4 tho really? All im seeing are delays, downgrades and now Drive Club is "back to the drawing board". These "next gen" consoles are just one disappointment after another.
So for 2014 the PauperStation4 has Infamous, The Order (big maybe here), and .....................................
Must be tough to own a console with not single game in 2014 worth buying so far.
Do you actually believe the stuff you post? Because that would make a total of one person that does.
This shit excuse confirms Sony pulled out and the dev is on its ass. No one will ever see this game again.
"Back to the drawing board" doesn't sound like a good thing, It sounds like something went severely wrong, like it's not all that good right now.
And it hits the shelf with the likes of Agent and The Last Guardian.
So much for the most anticipated PS4 launch title.
