Which just goes to show that quality and sales do not go hand in hand.

Not sure if serious... It's the same game it was since it launched which is mediocre, all they have done is fill in the gaps with missing content and features which should have been in the game since it launch and fixed the network load issues.

It's gotten better for sure as a cohesive product, but the best racing game this generation? It's a far cry from that standing.

Can't believe it takes so little for you to get buthurt , but what do you put in "quality" for a racing game?

Oh look it's the Sony Defense Force.... I didn't say it's lacking quality, it just a mediocre game with dated unrealistic 90's-esque mechanics and physics, poor AI and horrible track restrictions and penalties, its only real redeeming quality is the way it looks. A shit load of changes? Way to be dramatic, more like they added the missing weather system, they added the missing replay system, they fixed the broken network, added some more races and a few more cars.

You should check out the metacritic reviews for this game. GS gave it the 2nd lowest score out of everybody!! I feel like I don't trust some of their reviews at all. I feel like I'm better off getting GT or IGN reviews.

Let me make it clear to you.

My pick of console does not effect my love for racing games.

If any one here dares say that Forza 2 and 3 are shit , i will kill them.

But your remarks are that of a person who does not play the genre , and is just bashing on the game for its exclusivity.

So please , spare me your "review" of the game.

Heh, let's be honest here. You hate Driveclub because it's a PS4 exclusive, that's all.

"A few more cars", just admit you've never played the game, or bothered to look at a list of what they've added, and we can move on.

Oh, and just a tip. Just because someone points out your idiotic posts dealing with an item doesn't make them defenders of the item. I t just means we get sick of your typical bullshit.

I don't play the genre? Are you kidding me, I love racing games... This has nothing to do with exclusivity, this has to do with a mediocre mechanical product with what is essentially a 90's racing game style packed with a very limited amount of cars, content, poor AI which hold a line and nothing more and stupid track restrictions.

No, and yes it's a few more cars, the base game had an abysmal 50 car line up and they've only added a few extra free vehicles, the rest you have to pay them for which is ridiculous considering the launch count... Never played the game? I've owned it since the morning it came out...

Oh I do get it, you guys are defending something which is okay and I'm saying it is OKAY, I'm not bashing it because it is an enjoyable game. But don't dare to drum this mediocrity up as a good or great game, that's the real bullshit...

@nyadc: The game is bare bones and it got the review it needs , yes.

But stupid track restrictions?

I guess the Nurburgring is just a big flat open parking lot.

And 90s racing game?

Do you mean by content or gameplay and visuals?

And since you are a fan of the genre , can you tell me - what is the best starting car in GT3?

The game when released was mediocre. GS got the review right. Your ignorance is showing in stating it's the same though. They have added a shit load of stuff. You are just hating. No use denying it.

You go in the dirt a little bit and you get hit with penalties, or you hit a wall or another car really hard you can't accelerate, it restricts that, you can't drive backwards, it resets you, it's stupid...

Mechanically with its arcade style and the way it handles it plays like a 90's arcade racer, like Need for Speed High Stakes or Need for Speed III, not bad then, but now....

Visually the game is great, it's not the best thing on Earth but it looks good, its base content though is severely lacking, even now, and all the stuff they want you to buy after the fact essentially doubles the amount which exists at the $60 price premium, that's ridiculous...

Duh, the MX-5...

The dirt thing is stupid, but it's only when you cut corners.

The rest is to prevent you from using other cars or the walls to bounce off of. that's not stupid.

Well , this is more an Evolution thing.

They always make they're WRC games like that , so i don't see the problem.

Maybe compared to other semi-sime racer , sure.

And yeah it's the MX-5 , but which one?

No, that's justification for lazy bullshit. If they wanted to do it right they should have added a damage model which mechanically breaks your car and penalties which can restrict your racing online for repeated incidents.

Not some stupid mechanic that artificially slows your car down...

I don't remember man, it's been nearly 15 years, you're lucky I or anyone else could even remember that much.

Can you name me one racing game that does it right? I mean realistically?

It's a replacement for the lack of damage hindering cars, and it works well. We all know you'd be the first to complain (for obvious reasons).

But after all the updates it had most of the problems it had were fixed. I think people are buying it because of all the updates.

And don't forget DC is not a sim. It's a good method to use for encouraging "clean" racing while not punishing those who were the victims.

Yes, this game.

They could have figured out another way or just let it be, it's an arcade game, the concept of restrictions like that are off putting for the genre.

Obviously not to two million people. To people who just love to hate, such as yourself, I guess it is "off putting."

Just curious, what was realistic about the video I posted?

The damage may not be exactly realistic in iRacing visually due to the age of the engine but crashes do inhibit your vehicle in ways that are mechanically speaking. iRacing has the right model for damage and penalties, they have the right idea of how things should be done and how crashing restricts what you can do, you can get kicked out of a racing series or banned from playing online for a set amount of time.

Well deserved. Best racing game this generation.

It's the same game, but with a shit load of changes and additions. Ok...

content that should've been in the game in the first place... or are you denying that?

If it didn't do that you'd be the same person complaining about people using other cars and walls as help. It's a good decision. Move on

No, that's justification for lazy bullshit. If they wanted to do it right they should have added a damage model which mechanically breaks your car and penalties which can restrict your racing online for repeated incidents.

Can you name me one racing game that does it right? I mean realistically?

It's a replacement for the lack of damage hindering cars, and it works well. We all know you'd be the first to complain (for obvious reasons).

iRacing.

you're comparing a 30$ arcade game to a professional simulator.. next you'll be comparing it to an F1 simulator...

Nice work Evo! You managed to turn this game around better than Microsoft has with the Xbone itself and MCC put together.

Fantastic racer with a botched launch.

Heh, let's be honest here. You hate Driveclub because it's a PS4 exclusive, that's all.

"A few more cars", just admit you've never played the game, or bothered to look at a list of what they've added, and we can move on.

He hates Driveclub because he is B4X which again was Blackace alter account all 3 are the same, and all 3 show the exact same strong hate for that particular game, all 3 share the same fake manticore mantra same butthurt meltdowns and even same Tomb Cruise gif attacks..lol

Did it ever cross your small mind that people might feel the same way about things or approach a situation similarly? That there are billions of people on the internet so the likelihood of someone having similar thoughts on something or the way they handle a situation may come off the same? Oh so these other two people share the manticore mantra huh? Did they ever show you their setups? Their consoles? Their rooms etc? Did that ever happen?

I'm not these people you think I am no matter how much you convince yourself I am, that's your rationality for dismissing what I have to say and it's idiocy.

This sums up the ease that Sony has. Shit game gets a shit score and sells great . Shit console has nothing going for it and it sells amazingly. It is a marketing dream.

@FoxbatAlpha: Pretty much.

DC is much like The Order... It looks pretty sometimes, but is empty as hell on the gameplay side of things.
