Must be because DC makes Forza 5 look like last gen with all that pre-baked lighting, flat road textures, and dull lighting. How is it possible for DriveClub to look so much better than forza 5 eventhough Forza 5 doesn't even have basic features like night racing and a weather system?

Forza 5 buildings truly do look like Google Earth buildings
Davekeeh
But google earth is based off photographs.
Forza 5 is photoreal confirmed by Davekeeh :o

Am I the only one on SW that thinks Driveclub and Forza 5 both look pretty good? I should probably get my coat.JamDev
Suppose I can be your anti-compatriot in that neither appeals to me.

Pre-baked lighting actually looks better. You don't know your rendering techniques do you?
Pre-baked means they can do a far higher level of quality without the performance hit of running it in real time. For a racing game you don't need anything more than pre-baked assets. That's the whole point of pre-baking assets. Pre-rendering them allows you to have a better quality picture while saving resources. It's useful even with modern games. It's really useful on a console when the resources start getting thin.Â
Looks very average, and all the cows have entered this thread to circle jerk.

I love system wars
I think we can all agree DriveClub looks better than Forza 5 after watching that vid, just look:

Ew.. Â Dem N64 textures and cardboard cutout buildings. Â Â Must be the power of teh cloud.Â

Not a bad trailer actually, but if they still can't hit 60fps for this game it's gonna be disappointing
Wasdie
That will be even more true if the game is supposed to have a high sense of speed. 60fps would be pretty much necessary to make it feel crisp and responsive.
Forza has 60 frames and there is no sense of speed whatsoever. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the points system ... which is super good coz PGR2 is my favorite racing game ... ok, will put under my radar.Feels more like Project Gotham Racing. Nothing wrong with that. Sony would be dumb to have two 1st party racing sims.

Looking much better than the previous showing. It's just a shame they have had to lock the frame rate to sub 25 fps in order to achieve any kind of graphical fidelity :?

Forza 5 looks incredible. You numbnuts are just bias. Don't be so butthurt. Forza Horizon has night driving, so it will definitely be added in Forza 5 in the future.
This thread contains the following:
1. People praising impressive graphics for an upcoming game
2. XB1 fanboys bashing said game
3. Timbers personally attacking people for liking PS4 games.Â
It looks a lot better than Forza 5.Amazing......AtariKidX
How is it possible for Drive Club to only have like 50 cars in the game and still be 30fps? when Forza will have hundreds of cars and be 60fps/1080p oh thats right,Turn 10 is a far better Developer ;) Flop Club has about 50 cars total in the game and runs at 30fps  "bu bu i wear special contacts so i can see extra framez on Ps4! "How is it possible for DriveClub to look so much better than forza 5 eventhough Forza 5 doesn't even have basic features like night racing and a weather system?

You must be kidding right? I mean i hope you are !!!
While weather effects / environment details / car physics / overall visuals all can effect the frame rate, having hundreds of cars to choose from doesnt have to do anything with the framerate issues?? Its not like there will be 300+ cars on track at once which might effect the game's fps... lol
Driveclub is an unfinished game just like Dead Rising 3 and both currently have some issues with frame rate stability which hopefully will be fixed before games get released !!!
The only place these two games are competing is in fanboy threads. Fans of the genre know about the only two things these games have in common are cars and roads. It's like comparing Battlefield to Bioshock just because they both have guns and are in first person. Not bad, if they could do 1080p @60fps they might, just might have a small chance of competing with Forza 5.
