Ds or psp ??

Hey all, Im looking into buying a handheld for using on my 1 hour break at work. Im a huge fan of old school rpg's and platformers / action games. Was wondering which handheld I should pick ? I like a couple games from the psp but the ds games look a bit more appealing to my tastes and it will be strictly for gaming I dont care about portable mp3's, movies etc as my ipod is for that. Ty for any advice.

Hmm, is that one any good ? I was thinking more of the final fantasy remakes and chrono trigger coming out soon. Also was looking at mario kart ds and yoshi's island ds.

Also, I'd just add 1 more thing.

The DS has all the amazing Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice games. They're perfect games for 10-20 minutes of time.

Wow, there have been umpteen threads like this in the last week. Anyway, I am torn. I think the DS has an amazing library but most of the games don't do it for me. The PSP has great games as well but the reason I love it is for reasons not to be mentioned here.

The DS is great for short bursts but the PSP offers many more features.

Which, depending on your preferences, you may never actually use. (personally I fiddled with the multimedia stuff the first week I got my PSP, but really haven't touched them since)

DS is cheaper plus has a lot of good RPG's. It also getting Dragon Quest 4,5,6,9, FF4, Chrono Trigger and a lot of other RPG'sJakendo

the ds isnt just great for short bursts though, i put 140 hours plus in pokemon diamond and recent games like phantom hour glass and the world ends with you are actually full length games, even the good games on psp like god of war are only 10 hours long and the PSP battery cant even go for that long

theres 20+ games IMO that are top notch handheld games on the DS, there might be 5-10 on the psp

DS is absolutely the right fit

a lot more quality games than the PSP, IMO .. especially in the genres you like

Buy a DS with New Super Mario Bros, The World Ends With You, and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney.

Some of the best games on the system. Also, you might want to pick up Puzzle Quest. It's only $15 (at least at Toys R Us) and it's a RPG mixed with the puzzle game Bejewled. It sounds really stupid, but it's crazy addictive.

I've never played TWEWY, but it has basically universal praise. Everyone seems to really enjoy it. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is one of my favorite games in quite a few years. It's definitely my favorite new IP. It's incredibly enjoyable and interesting. All the cases have huge twists in them. New Super Mario Bros is just awesome old-school platforming goodness.

I have both, currently I prefer my PSP because I love Crisis Core and Crush. Really, you can't go wrong with either system.

How would you feel if someone stole something from you? Being an artist myself, I can understand why people and companies wouldn't want to have their intellectual rights pirated away.
