holy **** 100p difference? and some one wants to argue about it????? my pc must be godly with it's 1920x1200 p monitor...... now im going to play my wii :)
It's not a 100p though. If you rounded it would be closer to 200, but to be accurate, it's "180p" difference. You must not be aware, but that is a 30+% difference in image fidelity. It's actually a difference of 633,000 pixels.
(1600 x 900) = 1,440,000 pixels.
(1920 x 1080) = 2,073,000 pixels.
633,000 more pixels.
So what looks like a tiny, measly "180p" difference is actually quite deceptive.
To give a greater perspective, last gen PS360 comparisons here (I was in many threads in SW back then as well) and across the internet, people argued for 10-20p differences (many times early in the generation this was to the 360's favor).
To be clear, I have owned PCs and all the gaming consoles for decades/generations and I've seen posters come and go, but I wanted to clear up the "180p difference" for those that aren't quite sure what all this means. Clearly though, one could get a DRM PC copy that runs at higher resolutions or go with a non-DRM physical copy on consoles and take the best version of that bunch. It depends how much of that 1080p HD TV you want to use, and sometimes what console someone is stuck with.
