DS3 GS review 8.0 FLOPPAGE

So 8's now is a flop for a game LOL. Not every game in a series will score 9's and 10's no matter how great of a series it is. Game isn't even out yet in the states so you nor I know's how much it will sell and it's still probably one of the best games that going to come out this year so how do you consider that a flop LOL. Just because you may not like a game or the series doesn't mean it's bad or a flop, that logic makes no sense.

Sidenote: I'm seeing other websites giving it 9's so once again, how is it a flop LOL, you do realize there are other opinions out there besides gamespot's right?

Lmao a series that has never scored below a 9 here suddenly scores an 8 that's how to me. "Flop"doesn't mean bad game people. Just not where I expected. Unlike others I'm not going to pretend a week ago I would've called AA for DS3 on GS.

indeed dark souls III has a 90 score on metacritic. gamespot can't seem to get it right lately. Either they score too much or too little.

Alan wake and TLOU were considered flops here and scored 8.5, 8/10 respectively. This game didn't hit the score I expected at GS therefore it flopped. You don't have to agree, I can see you don't like, and you don't have to participate in the thread.

I guess Bloodborne > DS3.

A good score for a good non-exclusive title.

If the performance is terrible on the consoles then I would expect a lower review. Seems you'll get a far better gameplay experience playing this on PC, and I feel bad if you don't get that opportunity.

Anywayss, I will take some performance issues (that will likely get patched) over getting invaded by hackers ALA Souls on PC.

But there are more impressive games than the souls games on Ps3, that run at stable 30+ fps and the same goes for Ps4 and DS3.

These consoles aren't the N64, sub 30 faps is all on the developer.

It was back when we had the metagame and flops were based on hype vs GS score so a flop did not necesarily mean it was a bad game. So TLOU was hyped as pretty much the next coming of jesus and scored an 8 on GS. Fun times were had...el tormo asked that McShea be fired

What are you talking about? If there's a more detailed game that also runs better, than clearly the inferior game is not worse because of the hardware.

Look the consoles were under powered, even Ps4, but it's not a scapegoat for bad coding and prioritizing. DS3 has same issues that the first dark souls had, it's a Fromsoft problem. When a modder can greatly improve the frame rate of your game in less than an hour, that was some shitty coding.

Hopefully this game is better than DS2, which is becoming rather stale as I play it. I think Ill put it on the side and just start 3 with a fresh mind. So far, DS1 is my favorite, wondering if this one will top it.

all of the past games were reviewed by Kevin who is a huge Souls fanboy so I don't think what previous From games scored here is relevant

maybe the slower framerate is on purporse otherwise the enemies are too hard :)

On the other hand I haven't noticed any framerate problems on bloodborne like I saw on dark souls 1. I didn't finish the game though but still, pretty much every game that is heavy on the polygons suffers on the consoles.
