Duke Nukem Forever campaign is 16 hours long

As long as it's not a chore to finish.

Aside from the whole "two weapons at a time thing" (I wish people would just make their own games and stop copying Halo/CoD), it looks fun. 3D Relams did most of the work (and the team for it is a bunch of ex-3D Realms dudes), so we'll see.

Personally, I'm betting on Duke.

If they scrap that '2 weapons' idea, at least for the PC, then i swear i'l quit drinking for as long as i live.

Duke's gonna save my health, haha.

That's like a short RPG, like Chrono Trigger. Pretty cool. Hope it's got the spirit of the older games.

Thousands of people at PAX thought it was godlike based on everything i've read. Now i know taste is as diverse as there are people on the planet, but if you look at Daikana, a game that was incredibly hyped but ultimately failed hard wen gamers played it, you can obviously see people that have a brain don't usually praise craptastic games.

The only people i've ever seen saying negative comments about DNF, are the people that did not play the demo at PAX. That says something.

This game's going to hit a realistic 8.5/10 for most sites if i were to make a prediction, but here i'm hoping it's going to be 9/10.

It's going to be a disappointing Duke game. health regen(no the ego system does not make up for that) and he can only carry 2 weapons? I'm sorry he's the King, not a noob. This is blasphemy in a Duke Nukem game. Plus Gearbox is lame, but on the plus side the Duke is back. *****es, whips, oil, bathroom humor, wise crackin, bubble gum, cigars, monster trucks, and a spot in gaming history. Haha don't worry. I'm not really going into this game with high expectations considering that I was in diapers when Duke Nukem was popular.

Nevertheless, I know what I'm getting into. I really don't care about multiplayer or achievements or anythnig like that as long as it provides a good time.

When he says 16-17 hours he probabaly means closer to 12.

Game lengths from developers are typically much longer than actual lengths for most of us. They probably take a few of the highest lengths in playtesting. I'm going to assume 16 hours translates into about 10 hours for most of us. Still a decent length but will it be a smooth well connected ride?nutcrackr

I take my time with games so the actual playtime ends up being longer. This is good news for everyone.

It's campaign is 3 to 4 times the length of a COD campaign. That's insane.

For a shooter, that's long. Considering Gears, Halo are all less than 8 and COD is less than 5. 25+ hours would be something you'd see in an adventure game or RPG.
