- 5 points for overuse of the phrase "Hey, don't get me wrong."
Your arguement about Mods is lame. "I don't use them much personally" - is not a valid arguement. You may not, but I do and for the millions of PC gamers who use mods it's certainly something that matters and is a clear advantage for PC gaming. That's not a dumb point of contention at all.

That's great you do, that's great that millions of others do. I don't deny this. I'm not saying it's bad and everyone who thinks it's good has a malformed opinion. Also, in the OP I ask people to volunteer personal opinion, or far reaching points of contention. There are a few opinions in the thread I disagree with but I can also see their angle.Â
I'm saying exactly what I said. I don't tend to use mods, I don't mess about with them - besides, 'm sure I'm not the only one on PC who is like this. So for me, and probably a few other PC gamers, the fact you can mod your games is wholly unimportant. It's not a deciding factor which got us playing on the PC platform.Â
Yeah sure - I accept it's considered a point of advantage for PC, but modding has no value to me - I'd rather play an entirely new game. No amount of salesmanship could increase the value of modding PC games for me.
You're saying it's a "clear advantage" for PC gaming. Hmm, well I like the PC, but I honestly think modding games adds about as much value as Wii U having free online - not much.Â
Â
Sorry man. I don't bother with modding my PC games, so modding games as an advantage for PC gaming - I find this point at best - contentious.Â
