One of the most addicting co-op games to comeout in a while its a steal at $15 for how what it offers. Not worth it at $15, thats the only reason why i havent bought it off PSN yet, should be $9 or $8

[QUOTE="lowe0"][QUOTE="SW__Troll"] Are you trying to tell me that advertising is not a humungous part of the console business model?SW__TrollI'm trying up tell you to quit making assumptions about people. Where's the assumption? Console owners obviously didn't really know about this game or else it should have sold better than that. There's no reason one platform should be 80% of the sales.
Again, it could be that console gamers just don't like tower defense games. Or, if they did, they play free things on the internet.
How much is in PC? PC has this ridiculous sales all the time and games end up costing like 1, 2 or 3 dollars. Consolites don't get such great deals.kuraimenIt hasn't had any major sales yet just a small pre order bonus for $13 I fully expect them to break 500k copies sold on pc alone after a few sales and a million copies would not surprise me and it deserves it great game and is very addicting.
I got bastion along with dungeon defenders and it is a fantastic game from the 2 hours I played really like the full narration in the game and the art in the game is beautiful it impressed me like no 2D game has before must be the fact that they drew it in 1080p along with being so nicely drawn. The fast paced combat is great with plenty of different weapon combination and various upgrades. They both great games one for the co-op MP the other for the SP.That game is horrible.
Seriously if you havent played Bastion yet, get it instead, its a master piece.

or they're pirating the game. :P

Console gamers have good taste in games? What else is new... :|
Even if was possible to pirate XBLA/PSN games, no one would waste their bandwith downloading this mediocre game.

Its not mediocre at all :?
http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/dungeon-defenders
82% average on metacritic is mediocre now?
Yes, in system wars anything under 8.5 is not worth playing at all.
It's really sad to see this kind of attitude (not aiming at you, Tikeio but there seem to be alot of people that think this way). Since my favourite games at the moment scored a 7.5 (RO2) and 6.5 (Age of Empires Online).
[QUOTE="AiurProtoss"]Piracy is still a big problem on the PC platform no matter how you want to try and spin it. Piracy in general is a problem but Developers have a harder time on PC. Such is the nature of an open platform.sSubZerOo
No it isn't.. Developers like the ones for Witcher 2 have shown they can be profitable with little to no copy write.. And int eh end piracy is a EMPTY figure.. There is no telling if the people would buy it or not if they couldn't pirate it.
NO, piracy is a big problem on pc. Small developers like frictional ran into piracy problems, virutally every developer has that problem despite selling copies. There was an article not too long ago where an idie dev sold roughly 200K copies and had 1 million people playing online. If i can find the article I will post it, but its just a sad and unfortunate thing that happens in gaming, especially on the PC side of things. Thats what happens on an open platform, but just like everything else in the world, it has pros and cons.
Finally decided to watch a review of it. Game looks godly. Will buy tomorrow. That game is horrible.

[QUOTE="vashkey"]I wonder how much it sold on XBLA. It was the most played XBLA game last week according to majornelson. Personally, I'm not interested in it. I don't think I could play a game that's purely based on tower defense. Seems really boring.ShadowDeathXYea me too. If this sold this much and its on top of the XBLA charts, then it must mean something.
There have been upwards of a million people playing CoD this passed week.
50k copies of Dungeon Defenders sold was between multiple platforms (PC obviously excluded).
It'd be pretty amazing if 50k> somehow was a bigger number than a million even for just a nanosecond, but a whole week?
I refuse to accept that there are people who don't like Dungeon Defenders. It's one of the most fun and addicting games I've played in a long time. Maybe it needs more quick time events and cutscenes to get more popular.
That game is horrible.

Well, funny you mentioned that game. It was just on sale on Steam for 50% off. I bought a few copies to give out as gives around Christmas. I love Steam so much.
DD is a great game and is a good bit of fun with friends.
Another similar title to DD is Sanctum (came out a while ago) and it is currently on sale on Steam for 50% off. Did I mention I love Steam. I bought sanctum back when it came out, but the DLC pack is also on sale which is what I bought.
A tower defense game selling poorly on consoles!? what an out rage!!
Seriously though thats like comparing what sells more, Madden on consoles or PC. Anyways back on topic, tried the demo and I've played better tower defense games.

The demo for Dungeon Defenders is a very poor representation of the entire game.
You get two maps (there's like 15 I think), you only get to go up to medium difficulty (which is baby mode on those first two maps), you don't get the challenge modes, you don't get two of the c|asses, and you don't get to experience all the different mobs, or boss battles, or anything.
I liked the demo enough to buy the game, but boy have I been surprised by the difficulty increasing even just one or two maps after the demo map you get, and I'm still using medium difficulty! There's still hard, and insane difficulties to choose from eventually, so I can only imagine it'll get extremely hectic, and fun.
This game is amazing. I love the way you can switch classes in-between waves it makes choosing who to use and when all the better!
The amount of value it offers for $15 is quite the thing and worthy of immediate PC sales. Especially for a game that works better with KB/M controls, uses the steam server system and has mod support.illmatic87I picked up dawn if war 2 gold edition for $15. That is a much better value for $15. Just saying...

So what if a game will pirated? They shouldn't sell their game on PC? 200000k sales on Pc vs 50000K on consoles. Yeah sounds logical lets not release it on pc because it will get 200000 times pirated even though it will likely sell much more than consoles and release it only on consoles Also what about used games on consoles. I see you bringing piracy all the time yet the other big problem for game industry (which only console market has) used sales you dont mention it ( online pass anyone )[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]

Consolites are cheap?!
I actually find that funny since most console games are 60 and most PC games are 50.
Unless its Blizzard or EA sadly -_-
Correction: EA, Activision Blizzard and now Bethesda. Didn't AC2 launch $60 on PC too?[QUOTE="Lief_Ericson"][QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]

proven wrong by the millions of mouth droolers that buy COD games and let good RPG's have low sales. Console majority are the people that made fun of real gamers like me when we were young, till GTA and COD made it ok for them to play too. They have poor taste to say the least.
[QUOTE="Arach666"]It reminds me how Breath of Death and Ctulhu saves the world sold more on steam in a week than on xbox live in a year and a half lol.kozzy1234
Some people like to toss these instances under the table
They should have gotten the games in the XBLA section rather than the Indies section, people ignore the Indies section unless their XNA hobbyists (and with good cause, only about 1 in 50 are even worth trying). The only thing that sells on the indie channel are Minecraft clones and The Impossible Game.
