If there is any shooter everyone WILL be talking about...it's Tribes Ascend, Planetside 2, CoD 8 (it always is), Far Cry 3, BioShock Infinte, and etc. etc.

As an EVE player I'm skeptical. There won't be any meaningful interaction with EVE players until January of next year. Dust 514 has to hold the PS3 crowds attention through the fall and holiday game releases which I just don't think it will do. Not that I think Planetside 2 will do much better. The first Planetside was supposed to be a revolution as well. At launch the game was poorly optimized, had terrible latency issues, and ultimately failed to capture the fps crowd with its lackluster mechanics and the mmo crowd with its lack of rpg elements and lack of interaction besides "Go here and shoot". While Planetside 2 looks like its an improvement I can see all the old issues coming back again and if there is one thing that I've learned about the PC gaming community its that they get extremely butthurt when a game doesn't live up to their expectations at launch.

Well the guys making Planetside 2 say that right now there is absolutly no console verison in the works.

I'm not saying it *couldn't* happen. There is nothing in that game you couldn't do with a controller. The game even supports in-game VoiP already so you would just have to redo the menus.

Honestly it would be logical if these new F2P games made it to the consoles. It's just the consoles online network does not allow for quick updates and is a major pain for online games.

During planetside 2 gameplay when ever the developer went to menu I noticed the controller option, then again they could mean flightsticks

It's a cool concept, but I don't know if I actually want to play it. Especially with Planetside 2 on the horizon.
