I guess it was a good try by Phil Spencer to fix that mess of a system but it just didn't work...it's still much weaker than the PS4 and multiplats will continue to showcase it. After a year or so I think MS should abandon the Xbone and give it another shot like Nintendo.
Has DX12 been implemented on any of the games out now? Everything to date including the latest stuff like Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Fallout 4 was built for the pre-NXOE and that didn't have DX12 capabilities then. The NXOE isn't even manditory for weeks so it's not like these games were made for or ever will get an update to utilize DX12.
Unless developers specifically opt to update the games to utilize DX12 then we probably won't see that happen, as developers aren't going to spend that money doing that after sales slow down, there's no gain to be had doing that.
Anyhow, Xbox One is beyond "saving" as to fanboys that means catching up to be neck and neck with Sony. All they can do is deliver to people that have supported them and on that end they're doing that, they're giving us great stuff.
On Sony's end though, I hope they consider doing BC too, because I'm sure if they did they'd do a great job adding to the PS1/PS2 BC they had going on the PS3, and they can expand on that too. That'd be good for everyone. See, competition is good.
You forgot to put over 9000 price drops and 103902340 bundles in your title. None of it saved the Bone because no one wants it. Unless Sony decides to stop selling their dominant console known as the one and only PS4, Xbone will be permanently behind. When i ask the question of why buying the Bone over the ps4, the question is always "for gamers" but when your games are the same sequels three generations in a row AND look as messy as Halo 5, why would i or anyone who's looking to purchase an 8th gen console care?

I want it, all my friends want it and a lot of others as well it.

Best controller, more content, bc, mods,
ps4 has no games lmao
stop lying. you don't want it, you have no friends, mods will be available on ps4, did you purchase 8th gen to play old ass games?, more content like what? Imagination? Great..., best controller is an opinion, not a popular opinion at that either. X1 has no games and those that do come out are the yearly rehash we've gotten three generations in a row. Only thinking of forza 3291848792 for 2016 makes my head hurt. Why do you think Xbone is this behind? No one wants, that why.
@silversix_: so what you're saying is you prefer 5club with shitty physics or rehashed GT7 with cutting edge "standard cars" over forza? haha so funny..
I don't think the CPU will do a whole lot right now. Maybe some basic adding or subtracting... I don't know what these consoles are meant to excel at.
The cloud is realistically a long term deal. No one should expect otherwise.
The only reason I care about the Xbox One getting DX12, it that it makes porting to the PC better. So we need the Xbox One to stay where it is so that the PC can gain from it. That's the best thing about consoles right now, they feed the PC in one way or another.
Xbox One is weaker. Nothing will change that, and PS4 will continue to get superior multiplats. Get over it and enjoy games that come out on the system.
DF have been shown to be liars. Everything they have said in the past is now suspect. Look at that tweet from Darkx10 he Works for Digital foundry testing xbox one games.
Sony can't even provide dedicated servers for its biggest first party game this year. Sony still charges people to stream PS3 games. PS4 fanboys only talk about xbox issues sad really,
this narrative that the xbone is some how a failure and needs saving only exists in forums like these. In the real world ms is making money hand over fist and laughing at you alll.

1+
Let's all just go home happy and enjoy our games so we can tell our story to the gaming community :P

Your thread about trying to playing an XBox One Controller on a Window 7 PC showed us just how bright you are. Please, just stop making threads now, as you are embarrassing yourself.
XB1 doesn't need saving. There aren't even any games out that fully uses the cloud or DX12 yet. I believe the first game will be Fable Legends or Crackdown 3.
Tomb raider is an async game so yeah it uses dx12 on xbox one.
true that TB uses DX12 and Async but they aren't mutually exclusive. Lots of games have been using Async because the Xbone already had a DX feature level that exceeds DX11's, but is not till from now on that devs will truly start to make use of it because the consoles ran out of raw performance. Devs just don't have anywhere else to go but Async to save up on some CPU cycles, code in low level as much as possible and optimize everything to the best they can.
Lot of devs on Beyond3D forums, and I've seen a few on twitter too, hyping up the capabilities of Async but at least for the Xbone it's gonna be a short ride considering its inferior GPU.

Microsoft blown their larger 365mm^2 APU silicon budget on 32 MB ESRAM.
With 365mm^2 APU size, Xbox One should have been around 28 CU with at least 2 GB GDDR5-5500 256bit and 8 GB DDR3-2133 128bit memory setup like an entry level gaming PC.
PS4 used a smaller APU silicon budget with 348mm^2 size. PS4's IGP has 20 CU.
Wii U's main IGP chip has similar mistakes as with XBO i.e. large embedded memory reduced IGP's CU count. Wii U could have supported Radeon HD 4770 (640 stream processors, 8 CU) instead of Radeon HD 4650(320 stream processors, 4 CU).
Both Microsoft and Nintendo applied yesteryear's high level game console designs on current generation hardware.
The above issues are fundamental for gaming device that process modern graphics workloads.
Almost everything they have done since their botch of a release run-up has made the console drastically more appealing. Unfortunately they shot themselves in the foot beforehand.

Could you list XBO games with Async enabled?
The next Tomb Raider is one of the first known Async enabled game for XBO.
Judging from your assertion, click on the following XDX screenshot for detailed limitations for March 2014's Async features.
XBO's half-baked Async feature was enabled for March 2014 XDK.
XBO's March 2014 XDK is missing a lot of Async's control features e.g. adjust priority for each compute context and change a context's priority.
According to AMD (as of March 2015), it's ground zero for XBO's Async usage.

Are you a fool? No one expected DX12 to save Xbox One and Phil already clarify it. DX12 Won't change X1 hardware or graphics
No...
PS4's Async improvement example
That's about 20 percent improvement with just Async usage on PS4's low overhead APIs. XBO should have similar improvements.

The API on the XB1 was already designed as a low level API.
Apparently, it's not on par with AMD Mantle hence some missing feature complaints from AMD Gaming Evolved developers.
There's a difference between full featured low level APIs(e.g. AMD Mantle) vs half-baked low level APIs (i.e. XBO's DX11.X).
