really thought the press conference was great. an 8/10. not enough to warrant a day one purchase, but it's on my radar whereas before i wasn't thinking of getting one.

Indeed, still leaning towards the PS4 as my other console next gen but i'm actually interested in the X1 now, QB, Spark and Forza 5 are looking pretty good.

I can't remember ever seeing zombies discuss "how to capture humans" tactics before. They kind of just attack in swarms.
The $500 price point kinda stings cause my wife games with me so whatever console I purchase FIRST (meaning ill get both) ill be having to buy two of so yea. Although without beating a dead horse at this point going the Microsoft route might cause more issues since it seems currently id have to purchase two copies of single player centric titles. For instance I own ONE copy of tomb raider, farcry 3, bioshock infinite, and so forth. If I understand the current situation correctly if we both own a console she would not be able to play my personal copy on her XBOX without it causing some sort of issue. So at this point I dont know, even after the conference. Although I have to admit it was an entertaining show.Â

the 360 launched on Nov 2005 @$399. When the XB1 launches, that will have been 8 years. Not a big price jump there.
Yeah but the graphics jump from Xbox to 360 was HUGE! the in game playable graphics on Xbox one didn't look that much better than 360! no where near the jump as before. Dead Rising looked just like a 360 game to me. Graphics wise.

lol? i hated what MS did with the x1, but how u can come away thinkin that was bad is silly. there were a ton shit load of exclusives, along with killer instinct and good xbox live announcements. it was good.

It wasn't nearly as bad as the one before it. When you factor in the fact they were releasing a new system it was that bad. The graphics are no where near worth the $500 price tag. Especially with the used game fees. PS4 looks waaaay better. No denying it. And I was planning on getting a Xbox one and not a PS4 until I saw the difference in graphics and heard about the used game fees on EVERY SINGLE GAME, even single player.

Ryse looks great except for the mass of quicktime events. BF4 looked good but what they showed was meh. Halo.. yup another one. Forza looks good but it's more of the same. Nothing new.. Dead Rising looks good but its yet another zombie game. I had high hopes and it was just nothing new or overly exciting. Also not impressed with the price point. Thought they wanted to keep the price down.. maybe that would have happened if the system doesn't require kinect. Online connect and the whole used games thing... I wont be buying an xbox one at launch. Maybe when they have a price drop or they scrap the online requirements and bring out something appealing. MGS looked awesome, but that'll be multiplat.
To be fair, that kind of pricetag may be unavoidable for both competitors given the hardware specs. Unless things like Kinect 2 and the DRM feature drove up the cost of production.
