Daaaamn Far Cry 4 might actually dethrone Far Cry 3, cudos to Ubi for actually trying to one up their previous entry.
Well I hype for AC Unity now (more so from the MS conference due to the reveal of co-op, but nice to see more of Paris *.*), and, despite wishing for more from, Mirror's Edge. Otherwise both conference was eh for the most part, ubisoft being so weird with the people that are presenting it.
Not digging what Ubi's doing with the Far Cry franchise. IMO it's going the way of Assassin's Creed, where they give you a giant open-world, but they hold your hand the entire way. Far Cry 3 was good, but it wasn't nearly as exciting as Far Cry 2 was for me. In Far Cry 2, put it on the hardest difficulty, and around every corner was imminent death, even driving on the road was dangerous. Plus your weapons jammed, you had worry about ammo, there were no markers or wallhacks telling you where the enemy was at. Stealth in the game was amazing and intense, and you really needed to plan and adjust on the fly, otherwise you're dead.
But these new Far Cry's don't have the intense, gritty action anymore. The game is fun, but you just don;t feel the thrill and immersion of being in a real world anymore.
