E3 2021 | Nintendo

Not seeing an e3 thread for Nintendo oddly so here we go. What do you expect to see? Will the sequel to Breath of the Wild get a release date? Anything regarding a Switch Pro?

All I need is Breath of the Wild 2.

While we can all hope for Bayo 3 and Metroid Prime 4, we can at least bet on a new character for Smash being revealed. Let's hope it's a good one, as there are only two more character reveals left.

Definitely a release window of some sort for stBotW, along with ports of OoT, MM, TWW, and TP.

I think there will be something about Metroid, though probably not MP4.

Maybe Warioware?

Pokemon trailers are very likely.

Tough to say what else. Probably some surprises. No Switch Pro because that doesn't exist.

I hope to see Prime 4 and BOTW 2.

Still putting my money on BOTW2 releasing only when they release a new system.

I am expecting those (or part of them) but not at E3. They might do a Zelda anniversary direct later in the year.

The Zelda 35th poster at GameStop already leaked, and even features those games.

My policy is to create a thread between 12 to 24 hours before the actual stream if no-one has already done so, because I would never lay any claim to a monopoly on these E3 threads. I'm just happy to participate.

Prediction... Metroid Prime 4 logo will be shown with no other info... again.

Or... the logo is shown and then a fox tail pops out of the side and the words Metroid Prime crumble revealing the new logo... Star Fox Adventures 2.

Really looking forward to this showcase. Would to see any of the following:

- Breath of the Wild 2

- Metroid Prime 4

- Metroid Prime Trilogy

- Bayonetta 3

- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or X2

- Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Switch

My money is on within the next 12 months.

My biggest hopes are:

• New 3D Mario game (hopefully Odyssey 2)
• Sports Story info/release date
• Bayonetta 3 gameplay
• Zelda Collection (Wind Waker & Twilight Princess mainly)
• Metroid Prime 4 update (very unlikely)

Here's what I want:

• BOTW 2
• Pikmin 4
• Splatoon 3 Release Date
• Golden Sun entry
• Advance Wars entry

The last 2 are absolutely not happening, but I can dream ;)

The next few days are going to be great. I'm very excited!

Imagine if Zelda SS cash grab is the biggest showing of their show. Now this, this would be competing with Ubi show.

Zelda SS has already been shown, there's nothing to be shown anymore about the game it's coming out next month.

Tuesday will be about BotW 2 and that's enough to get me interested.

Splatoon 3 with split screen would be cool. A new 2D Mario game or an actual good 3D Mario game (which is unlikely after they announced more Rabbids crap...). There are a lot of games Nintendo could show to blow people away.. the question is will they?

I did hear about a new Donkey Kong rumor which is exciting but when I heard the rumor says the game is set in a 3D world my excitement died a bit.

The Direct is supposed to be roughly 40 minutes long.

This exactly. (Especially the Xenoparts the rest be damned as far as I'm concerned lol)

Looking forward to it, but not getting my hopes up for anything special.

Always hard to guess what nintendo is doing at this point in a gen. I generally don't go in with expectations for a Nintendo conference as they are just as likely to have a twilight princess style E3 as they are a wiiu style E3.

Some things i would like to see (again with no expectations):

1) Metroid prime 4. at this point it should be demonstrable in some form now. i dont think it will release this year but we should know more.

2) BOTW 2. like MP4 they should have something to show at this point. BOTW is 4 years old now.

3) New Kid icarus and a port of the 3DS game. I was listening to the soundtrack and played some of it again and its really frickin good. why have they left it idle?

4) Monolithsofts next game. Maybe a XCX2 (more exploration rather than story focused). Xenoblade 2 was a dud but even the best devs make a dud. I would be surprised to see this release before BOTW 2 though. also XCX needs a switch port. great game left on a DOA system...it's not right.

5) A complete starfox reboot. Space sim/space fighter games are gaining interest in the industry and Nintendo currently have bupkis in this area. complete overhaul though. more in the freelancer/Elite dangerous vein rather than the on rails arcade shooter. a space exploration/trading game would also be great for both portable and docked play.

6) more info on that new BOTW looking pokemon game (name escapes me). sword and shield should have been this game.

As with all companies at E3 i would also like a surprise (well i suppose a new kid icarus would be a surprise :) ).

techhog89 will be sweating all night. Begging for the Nintendo Direct to be anything but what were the Square and Ubi shows. Even i don't want the Direct to be as bad.

You need to ask Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai (whose short-lived studio developed Kid Icarus: Uprising) for that.

It's a nintendo IP. they dont have to leave it to sakurai (though has his team only been focused on expansion content for smash since its release? that would be disappointing.).

Really looking forward for Tuesday morning. BOTW2 and hopefully they show off Monolith Soft next RPG game. Also I bet there will be new trailers for Diamond/Pearl/Arceus, No More Heroes 3, Age of Calamity DLC, new Smash Character
