You know, my reaction to the bolded part at first was me yelling hell no. But the more I think of it, the more I can see it working, AND it may make the TBS genre a little more alive again.

Square Enix announces a Final Fantasy game that actually looks good (no involvement from Nomura) and has a solid release window no later than two years from now.
Kojima announces a game in the vein of MGS2/MGS3 styIe, but based on new characters in a new universe.
Super Metroid remake and Metroid: Fusion sequel on Wii U for Christmas. The latter of which being 1080p, hand-drawn 2D, 60fps, expansive world (several planets), minimalist plot/dialogue (but still fully voiced), branching ability trees (agility v. strength v. balanced)... you know, a proper 2D console Metroid made with all the advances in the series up till this point plus more, and with high production values. I would fall in love with this, and to add to it, I'd like a full blown 2d Castlevania for consoles as well.

vita exclusive but on a serious note.. it was brought up i think on neogaf... but maybe they are waiting for next gen consoles to release it.
I doubt Valve would wait for consoles for a game that sells 90% of its copies on the PC.
HL2 was on both the original Xbox, and the 360/PS3, so I can imagine a similar scenario. They will use the game to sell Steam though, and if they need to do that before the next gen consoles come out then so be it.
Fumito Ueda comes out on stage with translator guy and confirms The Last Guardian is finished and will release in July, Sony will put a lot of marketing muscle behind it and Iron man(RDJ) will fly on stage and say 'I support TLG'
I'd like to see both MS and sony drop their new machines and both be super powerfull and shock the world with their capabilities, ok this is unlikely but the topic said dream scenarios.....
