I mean E3 this year has been amazing!

  1. Nintendo announced a New Fire Emblem.
  2. Tony Hawk Proskater 5 announced.
  3. New Guitar Hero
  4. Batman Arkham Knight getting an overpriced Season Pass including Playable Batgirl!
  5. Star Wars Battlefront was revealed.
  6. Disney Infinity 3.0 was revealed
  7. Finally got to see some Fire Emblem x ShinMegami
  8. Deus Ex Mankind Divided was Revealed
  9. Call of Duty Black Ops 3!
  10. A New IP called Yooka Laylee was announced from the creators of Banjo Kazooie.

Shoot I don't think we've ever had an E3 this big before, Gaming is just getting better and better!

For those that don't know what this is about, I'm stating that E3 doesn't seem too exciting anymore. Previously we wouldn't have heard about half of these games before E3 and it just seems now Developers just can't wait to reveal megatons like these for E3. I stretched for Yooka Laylee since that is a Kickstarter game, but a game like that would have normally got a big reveal at E3. Guess that just shows you the nature of the industry now. So for the Real topic, Is E3 even needed anymore? With Nintendo revealing things in Directs and Developers just telling the Internet what they're working on any given day should we even have E3 anymore?

Misleading title.

The sarcasm is a bit dry.

I think its pretty normal. There are plenty of studios that dont want their game announcement getting overshadowed by bigger ips.

BTW, go ahead and replace the guitar hero announcement with Rock Band. GH is garbage compared to RB.

When Banjo threeie is announced, you will be throwing your money at the screen and proclaim, now the generation has started!

But seriously, this e3 is going to be great.

Personally i think there is still a lot that could and likely will be announced at e3.

There us likely so many games in production at the moment that there wouldn't be time at the conferences to announce it all and give each it's due anyway.

This may very well be the best E3 to date.

I knew you were sarcastic but it came off a little dry.

E3 does not seem as exciting this year because all major announcements from the big three have been moved to different times in the year or delayed until next year. Especially with Nintendo backing out almost completely this year.

E3 will most likely reformat anyway soon.

im not even interested in any of those games you listed.

I was interested in Batman, but I will wait a year+ from release for the complete edition instead of fucking spending all that money on just one game and its DLC/add-ons.

On the Topic of E3, will we finally get REAL gameplay for The Division?

We all know that footage from 2 years ago was way too good to be real and of course since its a Ubisoft game the downgrade is coming.

Dunno what you're talking about. Last years E3 was leaked in its entirety. The only one that was not was Nintendo's digital event. And Nintendo won E3 last year. If Nintendo waited until E3 to reveal their games there would be even more rampant speculation about the Wii Us downfall and garbage talk about games being compared to The Last Guardian *SMTxFE*

Either way I'm pumped for E3. If the big 3 were boats Nintendo would be the only one afloat. The others would have sunk from leaks.

E3's a fun event and all but it's becoming irrelevant for new game reveals.

I don't care if I know what games we'll see something from at E3, because most times we don't know much about them anyways, and it's not just a chance to see more about them we didn't know, but to see the developers/publishers go into greater detail about gameplay features, or to see people try the floor demos of the games. That's what I mostly want to see. Besides, there's still room to be surprised. I know I'll enjoy E3 coverage, don't expect TC and people like TC to have a ball if they go into it with a cynical stick up their ass.

Nope last E3 there were 2 mega tons, Tomb Raider timed exclusive for xbox one and 360, and Street fighter 5 only on PS4 and PC.

I agree, I don't care about games getting announce nor am I hung up on some silly "surprise" factor, I want to see the games in action and find out see if there is anything to get excited about with my own eyes.

It doesn't matter if they announce a game now cause you still aren't going to see any real footage until E3 and that is what it's for, to see new upcoming games in action.

*yawn* So much dry "sarcasm".

Whatever happen I'm sure I'll like this E3 like I liked other E3's in the past. The trick is not to set yourself up for disappointment by expecting too much.

New games will be shown and games that have already been announced will be expanded upon. That is all.

@playharderfool: you're not likely to see the full product at E3 either.

To be honest E3 is always fun for what it is. I chill for a couple of hours and see if anything looks interesting. The only events that get me even close to "hype" is when next gen consoles are revealed. Its just a show with some trailers after all.

Maybe if they release hogs of war 2, or a new crash bandy without the flash and gimmicks then il approach some form of hype.

At least shit got announced. Doesn't matter if it's now or at E3. We're still gonna have to wait.

A new Bethesda game, new announcements from Valve, new info on FFXV and KH3, and gameplay of major upcoming games we haven't seen too much gameplay of like Starfox, Persona 5, and Zelda U are all huge. This is going to be the biggest E3 in years.
