What was the piont of them being there do they think causal gamers actually wacth e3? I mean who where those games for do they think we tune in to e3 to see wii music ? To wacth ravi play the drums?to hear them talk about how they sell so much ? To hear about a soccer mom snowboarding trip?(It was more liek a comedy show ninetndo sould get a sitcom after the sh&8they show?we wanted mario (for the 100th time i mean they cant stop with is guy) zelda,metroid or any of the other great games they've been using for 25 years,If they wanted to show those games off why didn't they go to a litte league soccer game so they can pitch it to all the soccer moms?
I agree Nintendo showed off alot of pointless things at their E3 conference. Why don't they just start releasing Fisher Price games while their at it ?

Press see's Wii stuff. Press reports. Wii stuff is more interesting than 360/PS3/PC stuff to the average person (in this case, 'casuals') Casuals are interested.
Plus this year's E3 was bad for all companies, even if Nintendo did do the worst.

they know where they stand on sales. I would have more respect if they came out and gave everyone the finger then went home. Well, in a way.... they did.

Theres no changing Nintendo for this generation. They show no plans of a change in market strategy so I think they know what they're doing. If they win the casual gamer, imagine how many people would buy their next console (which they already promised to be a graphic powerhouse).

I don't know why people are surprised. Nintendo did the exact same thing last E3 and they'll do it again next E3. Casuals may not watch E3, but the mainstream press do. And casuals and non-gamers get their news from that press. No non-gamer watched E3 last year, but that didn't stop them from all knowing about wiifit the next day.
This is E3 now. It should come as no suprise to anyone.

Actually, that's just who they think is going to be seeing E3. E3 is the only conference that gets significant coverage from the mainstream media. If they want to show off the big games that casuals don't care about, they'll do it at shows like E for All and Liepzig, which are less well known outside of the industry.
