BF2 was my favorite PC game, id probably still play it if i had a gaming PC. Looks like this and Diablo 3 give me a reason to get a new one.

I want some GUFU dog tags :) Hopefully I'll get yours...[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"] Yeah my friends are getting it on 360, Plus it's a console shooter. I don't think the PC audience will be as supportive of it. I think they would rather hold out for BF3.

Let's just be real about it... BF3 most likely won't end up being totally exclusive. It'll have an alteration of it on consoles just like BF2 did. Yes it won't be near as good on consoles, but it'll be there in a form and no it won't be just like BC2... BC2 is super slimmed down, there's more DICE can do on there, but why spoil it now when they got a huge amount of profit they can make later on?
BC2 may seem super slimmed down compared to BF2 because it is on consoles while using top notch physics/graphics pushing those systems to their near limit. A BF3 spinoff would be Bad Comany 3 or Modern Combat 3.Let's just be real about it... BF3 most likely won't end up being totally exclusive. Or maybe because they haven't developed everything they needed to for BF3 yet.... If they had, BF3 would already be out for PC... yes? For all we know the BC series is them getting use to the engine.

Also, I didn't mean BC2 is a joke, the game is good...very good.
But overall BF2 has more MP wise since it didn't have a SP campaign.
This needs to remain a PC exclusive has the BF# type games for PC are huge in scale and really cannot be done on consoles without some serious downgrading to play on consoles.
That is why Battlefield BC2 exist, its a spin off from the PC series.

What about MAG? Yea it sorta flopped but it still proves that consoles can do the massive multiplayer shooter thing.
MAG is just infantry battles though, and even then if you've played the game, it's not full scale war. It's broken up into 8v8s, so even though you're in a 64, 128, 256 player battle, it never feels that way. You will never even see half the people, and probably not even see two-thirds of them.
MAG is a great game, but it doesn't even come close to Battlefield 2.

ya, what was really epic was setting up 63 bots in battlefield on a map made for 32... holy crap, it felt like such a real war, only they were too stupid to take cover XD

Me too... On pc. They took out the adrenaline bar and laying prone, but i think BC2 does a good job maintaining some of the tactic, and inserting more fun (i.e. less frustration, more actual (inter)action) with other players and the environment.[QUOTE="WarEagle1357"]I am a BF vet and I think I will like BC2 more than BF2...KungfuKitten
Lol yeah i miss the comma rose, it really made squad playing more efficient and fun (if you didn't use a mic). I would much prefer it to the socialise button they have in bc2.

setting up 63 bots in 40 player mode karkand (the one with only one MEC flag on the island, instead of 4), fighting past the market was impossible, they always had a tank sitting there, with 2 engineers sitting next to it, and with a sniper and grenade rush the size of a tsunami[QUOTE="Dead-Memories"] mods like project reality, PC server support. gameplay mechanics, jets, map scale etc. bf 3 just wouldn't be a true succesor to BF 2 if it wasn't pc exclusive. Persistantthug
Consoles can do mods, btw.
not really...UT3 could do some very basic stuff, but never full conversion mods like Project reality.
[QUOTE="gamer-adam1"]Why does everyone hate BF 2142....I thought it was pretty fun. Apparently I am the only one who thought Titan Mode was awesome. because they balanced the game for the first time. people were pissed that the helos were actually killable and infantry could one-shot a tank that isn't on its toes, lol.hope its not like battliefield 2142

I have good news. It only costs $1000 if you're a fanboy. Not exactly blown away seeing as its pc exclusive. Not going to pay $1000 for a decent pc to just play one game. Hopefully onlive or something will come out in the near future that makes pc gaming more accessible to the general public at a reasonable price.

I don't think there will be a battlefield 3 for a long time. With the way PC gaming has been lately we may not even get one.

Why did you revive this? And PC gaming is bigger than ever, what are you smoking? PC is fine, why do people still say that...
This.Bah, I just prefer my consoles. If I miss out on a couple of uber graphix PC exclusives then so be it.

I want a Gulf of Oman Remake... Or Karkand, let the nades fly.BC2 needs more Rush maps, I hope DICE isn't putting all their efforts into BF3 and MoH multiplayer yet.tomarlynThey're always gonna be spread out. I doubt they're gonna be putting too much effort in BC2 now, maps don't take that many devs to make honestly. They NEED to be putting forth most of their efforts to BF3 though for the reason that it's their prize trophy of a series. I'm crossing my fingers for at least a official confirmation/teaser trailer for E3.

PC gaming is perfectly fine, Digital Download sales last year where more then ps3 and 360 game sales combined. But you say PC gaming is TEH DEAD?
GImme abreak!
