Watch when you actually play the game. Seriously, its a sports game so you might pass it up, but once its starts making into shooters or RPGs? Seriously it really does detract from the game[QUOTE="Cute_Red_Panda"][QUOTE="asdasd"][QUOTE="Cute_Red_Panda"]What's the problem?asdasd

I understand ads on the sidelines and stuff.. but in the middle of gameplay?
Do you really not have a problem with this?
No, I don't. Maybe a good advertisment would come along telling me to pick up some paper towels. I always forget those when shopping...
I dont see why people are outraged at the idea of adverts in a game. As long as it isnt stupid like an advert for a nokia phone in Elder Scrolls 5, i honestly couldnt care.GazzaB
It's nothing incredibly serious, but it is pretty obnoxious of them, especially to stick that into the middle of a possession. I can understand having sponsored replays or whatever, like some other sports games do, but it shouldn't be a part of actual gameplay.
 Man that would annoy the hell out of me but thats pretty funny. While you're trying to pick a play?

I don't see the big deal, really. Like the people who cry about ads on XBL. What's the big deal?

What part of "it's nothing incredibly serious" are you struggling with?

The incredibly part. It gets me everytime. Seriously, why would you call them obnoxious?
Looks like Peter Moore is doing his job well.dream431ca
lol For real, looks like the entire develope cost probably got covered off that one screen
Seriously, in sports games, it doesnt bother me... well, in the NCAA games the "State Farm Drive of the Game" really gets on my nerves... especially considering it goes to a cutscenes that hardly counts as a drive. It showed a "drive of the game" one time and it was one of my guy's shooting a freaking 3 pointer. Nice. lol.
Wow, there's a lot of sheep in this thread...
That is ****ing low.... It's like advertising on school books and at school dances, or advertising to children in McDonald's restaraunts and at theme parks. **** man, advertising is getting outright disgusting. Who are these idiots that aree like "so what? its an ad..." god damn you people are either brain dead or just ignorant.
Ads are a big part of sports (and like everything else shouldn't be) and it does make sense to replicate the fields. But throwing ads directly into a menu is just plain wrong.
Really though this is just the tip of the iceberg and we need to refuse to accept this crap. I mean can you imagine GTA having real product billboards instead of funny fake ones just so some corporate bastards at EA can make even more millions of dollars.

They're inserting advertisments into gameplay. It's the textbook definition of obnoxious. Do you even know what the purpose of an advertisement is?
So obvious in this thread who actually plays sports games and who doesn't. I wouldn't want to see a Coke Zero ad dominating the middle of the screen everytime I'm trying to pick a play, but that's why I don't buy EA sports titles. And I can't believe anybody in their right mind would. The excuse that since advertisements are on tv, they should be in a video game, is truly the worst.
I don't think it is a big deal .... television broadcasters do it. I'm surprised there is no ads painted on the ground, padding for the poles, ext. That would make it more realistic.daqua_99
That's what's the big deal is. That's where they are supposed to be! They are now getting desperate trying to shove them in your face instead.

Seriously it really does detract from the gameI completely agree! Nothing says like mythical fantasy adventure or future 300,000 AD warfare for humanity then seeing a wallpaper about modern underwear. People need to get over themselves having in game ads will be great! Sure you still buy the game at full price but it means more money for the people who make the game even if their game was a sleeper hit so it's A-OK.
