It is too be expected. For a few years companies were hiring no talent DEI hires and shocker it turns out that is not a good business strategy. Since some of these these companies are losing in some cases billions they are understanding it is time to get rid of the talent-less dead weight. DEI looks good on their politically correct memos but not so good on actual product.
I do not feel bad for the people fired since they probably did not deserve the job anyways. They are not going to get rid of actual talented people.
