Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Those are some truly awesome deals. I am definitely going to grab a few of those. Mirror's Edge for one is a great game that I borrowed from a friend for the 360, but I didn't own my own copy on the PC and I never finished it.
I freaking love the PC. I have saved so much money over the years by gaming on the PC. Yes, the initial outlay of money is a bit higher (then again your PC does a million things that a console doesn't do), but the amount of money you save thanks to the cheaper games is vastly more significant over the long run.
There's also 40% off select console games: http://store.origin.com/store/ea/html/pbpage.hotdeals

That's cool for console-only owners. I do have to say, though, that I can get brand new PC versions of many of those games at Amazon for around the same price and they aren't even on sale.
Mass Effect 2
EA sale PS3 version: $23.99
EA sale Xbox 360 version: $11.99
PC version on Amazon: $10.57
Dead Space 2
EA sale PS3 version: $23.99
EA sale XB360 version: $23.99
PC version on Amazon: $23.99
Battlefield Bad Company 2
EA sale PS3 version: $23.99
EA sale XB360 version: $23.99
PC version on Amazon: $19.96
EA sale PC version: $4.99
Bulletstorm
EA sale PS3 version: $23.99
EA sale 360 version: $23.99
PC version at Amazon: $23.99
All those are brand new retail boxed copies. Obviously you can get them for even cheaper if you buy used or find them on sale at one of the digital stores.
I purchased ME1 back in 2009. I've bought several new PCs since then, and I've always been able to reinstall without problems. How's Origin in terms of redownloading/DRM? There are a few games I'm interested in, but IIRC the EA Store was pretty awful with things like having to pay extra to redownload.

*Buys BC2 on Origin*
*Sees purchase was made in CAD instead of USD*
*Sees tax*
I have no idea why I'm not taxed on Steam and why I don't get the Euro treatment when the USD's weaker than the CAD, but anyways, **** Origin. :x Steam FTW!!!

BC2 for $5? Sounds like they really want people to stop playing CoD and give BF a chance. Sure got me to try (this is my first BF game).
Origin interface will take some getting used to. Much brighter than Steam. >.>

Yeah, I actually like some aspects of the Origin interface better than Steam's. But Steam is far better as an overall store and service. I don't like the tax on Origin purchases. I have to admit, though, that this was a very good sale. I got some nice games for cheap out of it.
Wow those are a lot of amazing games. Well, looks like I might use Origin for more then BF3 after all.

There's no tax in Steam? Huh, I never knew that :P Either way, even if you pay more since it's $5 CAD, it's still a good deal :) Have fun with Bad Company 2, I've spent over 100 glorious hours with that game.

Liking the store navigation very much myself. Steam's is too vertical (One game per row, seriously?) and has more information than necessary. Release date? Metascore? It's a waste of space, making navigation a drag. Made trying to find games I missed out on and made creating my wishlist during the Steam summer sale Hell.
Integrated social tab is a plus. Haven't used it yet.
Only complaint I have so far that's not brightness or tax-related is that Steam's got the better selection; Origin's limited to EA. We'll see how that pans out as Origin gets older.

There should be tax. I have no idea why I don't get taxed though. A shady plus for Steam's still a plus. :P
And I shall have fun...As soon as I'm finished downloading. >.> 12% right now.
Speaking of downloads, looking at the settings, it seems I'm downloading the installer instead of file-by-file. Are downloads on Steam decompressed as they're downloaded? If not, this is a huge plus for people who have data usage caps.

Smart thinking on EAs part...getting more people into the battlefield series will do wonders for battlefield 3s sales!

Yeah, EA has done a lot of smart business moves with Battlefield 3. That Facebook one a while back was also well done, it really spread the Battlefield 3 name, and it didn't cost them a penny.
I ended up getting BC2: Vietnam, Mirror's Edge and BF2

Nice picks there. I also got BC2: Vietnam and Mirror's Edge. Really fantastic deals. Don't you just love competition?
yeah me too...good find for everyone else though. There's not a single game that I'm interested in. Seems like a good deal though.

It is quite nice. Being able to choose between Steam, Origin, Direct2Drive, and Amazon (as well as various other distributors that I am not signed up with) makes getting good deals quite easy. I have about 40 PC games now and haven't even spent over $400. Pretty awesome stuff
