EA: Ps3 can take over 360

Seems a bit of silly fan baiting, EA being a big multiplat developer are showing Ps3 some love lately with the AC:B beta and the DS2 beta as well as all the other content.

We all know its close I think what more people are suprised about is how long it took sony to get going this gen and how MS has done after there intial dip in the market with the Xbox.

Seem like Sony have a powerful allie in EA we all know the Dreamcast didn't fair well because of it's shunning from Electronic Arts.

Wishful thinking for ps3 to surpass 360.

MS is missing out a great chance to have a great lead over the PS3 if the lowered the price now to 200$, when Sony does it, they will be in clearly better position, but for the time being, MS has a good lead.

ultimately stems from Sony paying EA some money for content, or whatever partnership they have.

as for the DC issue. if the idea is that could happen to the 360, I think not. as Sega had caused EA some conflict with all their sports titles, I believe?

MS hasn't delved into any first-party sports games since the original Xbox. nor have they rushed consoles in the way Sega had.

Great game, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

I definitely like replaying the first few chapters rather than the later ones. As far as playing the game the first time, I really enjoyed all the parts of it, but the first couple of chapters are much more action packed, or at least can be if you go that route.

I don't think it really matters if one has a slight lead over the other at this point. It's been a massive achievment that MS have performed this well against a company that absolutely dominated in the last two generations.

Truth is, we're just sitting back and enjoying the healthy competition.

Exactly, for example, SWs going on like the 360 is dying, but why am I enjoying then, there are so many games on it and coming out and it's supposed to be dying :?. If it's not the games, it's the graphics, it's this and it's that.

I suppose they have to constitute a profit somewhere in the world. To give you a specific figure, the cheapest PS3 over here is still about $100 more expensive than the priciest 360.

You people talk like if MS never lost millions of dollars in the warranties due to the RRoD mess,and to that add the millions of dollars they invested in timed exclusives, DLC (50 millions for GTAIV DLC! That was the budget of Killzone 2!)and other crap.Why do you think the X360 still has 2(or are they 3?)different skus on the market? Why would Microsoft lower the prices on the 360 when they just added a new console with better features and it's flying off shelves? You got the holidays coming up, it's a great time for MS.

Sony, if anything, are the ones who need to drop their prices if they want to pass up MS since their PS3 Slim hype died earlier this year.

It figures this story would come from a European site. lol!! They are PS3 biase anyways. There numbers are off by a few million as well. That doesn't surprise me. XBox 360 is ahead by 5.5 million currently and that lead is continuing to grow now since the XBox 360 Slim launched. The PS3 still has a chance to catch them, but I don't see it happening this year or next at this point. I'm sure Microsoft will do another price cut next year as well. If the 360 gets to $129.99 before the PS3, they can forget about it.

Not sure where you're getting your information from, but the XBox 360 was outselling the PS3 for the first 2 years of it's release. Then the PS3 had some price cuts and the PS3 was outselling the XBox 360 for about 10 months. Then Microsoft did a big price cut and it outsold the PS3 for about 10 months. Then Sony released the PS3 Slim last year and it outsold the XBox 360 up until the E3 in June, when the XBox 360 Slim was announced. Since that time the XBox 360 has been outselling the PS3. Just last week it outsold it 2:1 in UK and US. Just wait for the NPD numbers. The PS3 isn't going to catch the 360 anytime soon.
