People will now proceed to say that EA suck/are lazy.whocares4peace
No, Sony just isn't a software company. They don't know as much about how to design APIs as Microsoft, which has been doing it for nigh twenty years.
it's so funny how EA is one of the only devs complaining. im buying 2k sports games now atleast they're not lazy F**Ktards

From that same quote..."It will change in the future"
PS3 is still in its infancy in terms of developers being used to it.

but whats the number one racing game that noobs that hate racing sims like? Burnout. Made by? Exactly. Oh and another thing, thier baseball games were way better then 2K's.
Its made by Crierion. EA just bought them and publishes it.

EA isn't the biggest developer in the world because they're crap. EA has some of the best developers out there, like EA Los Angeles. They have different tiers of quality, but they all know what they are doing.

do you hearcriterion complain ? no because they where building games on playstation in the early days
if you never made a game on playstation you will have a hard time...

burnout, "burned out" (i hate to be corny but it was appropriate) when they cameout with revenge, and then dominator was takedown without the crash mode and Burnout paradise seems like a copy of test drive unlimitedthis all aside Burnout paradise might actually be a change for the better

So? Metroid Prime is made by Retro, and Nintendo bought Retro, but it's still a Nintendo game. Criterion is a part of EA, as is Maxis and Westwood.
[QUOTE="legalize3"]but we really don't have the time to mess with how the PS3 works .... LMAO
lazy dev right there this will bite them in the ass when sony 1st party games make EA games look puffy....

Yes it does. Or are you going to say EA didn't make Battle for Middle-Earth because EA Los Angeles did it?
Criterion is an EA studio, like it or not, the same as EA Los Angeles, EA Tiburon, EA Canada, and a host of others.

Its not the same thing.
We don't consider Halo to be a Microsoft game. Its always a Bungie game, because the developer has proven themselves worthy of being thought of as seperate.
Criterion is talented on their own. To lump them in with EA is a disservice.
it's not like EA are the only 3rd party that said the ps3 isn't as easy to program for. what else is new?Ontain
can u plz name several other 3rd parties?

Going to have to disagree again with you. NBA Live 2000 was the best basketball game they made, and it was on PS1. Look to keep this from going any further, yes EA does suck to some extent, but it's not like they don't make enjoyable games. There are worst companies then EA. Hell, right now, EA is doing better then Sega at making games. and yes Def Jam Icon did suck.

so you wanna say EA makes crysis ?

What's the difference between Criterion and Maxis and EA Los Angeles, EA Tiburon, EA Salt Lake, and EA Canada? Absolutely nothing, except that they have different names and specialize in a different type of game.
There is no central "EA studio" that you can blame for all of their bad games. EA is a COLLECTION of studios, just like Ubisoft. The only reason EA hasn't renamed Criterion or Maxis is because those studios have their own name brand association, just like Lexus and Scion have their name brand association separate from Toyota.

EA is only good at madden and thats it maybe ssx....
most of EA games are lackluster

it's already posted and also generally accepted that the cell is the most difficult to program for because it's the most different from conventional processors and thus conventional programming techniques that were in place.

The difference is that all those studios were successful and making games before becoming part of EA. EA just bought them out. All the EA branded studios were created internally. Its very different if you actually stop to think about it.

so you wanna say EA makes crysis ?
You wanna say Mario isn't made by Nintendo? Because technically it's EAD Tokyo that develops Mario.
CryTek is an independent developer. They aren't owned or controlled in any way by EA. But EA owns and controls Criterion and Maxis, and like it or not they are as much EA as EA Tiburon or EA Los Angeles.
criterion already had their own staff before EA bought them..
the only thing EA does is give them money, so criterion can make the game

too bad the Show is also better than 2k's and PS3 owners dont have to rely on 2K sports for baseball. MVP Baseball is gone.
How do you know their staff HASN'T been replaced? Staff turnover is extremely high in the games industry. I work for a software company, and with the exception of our QC staff, we've completely changed out software developer staff since I joined two years ago. I'm only two years out of college, but if seniority were measured with time with the company, I'm like #5 out of a team of about 50, not including the C-level management.

And how do you know they were replaced?
I loved this part, ""The truth is they are both virtually the same in terms of hardware when it comes to how powerful they are, maybe the PS3 has a few different things that makes it a bit more advance". A bit more advance? How could a developer not know if the PS3 is more advanced or not? Does the PS3 have hidden powahz??? I also love how "a developer on the Nascar series". No name, no photo, no mention of when the developer in question was even asked the question. Whoever believes this must also believe the statement "Valve" made about the 360 almost being maxed out with Orange Box while the PS3 handles the game no problem with just its GPU and barely any help from Cell.LuvGamingeasy answer the cell is the hidden power it can be used as a gpu and cpu when coded right. the ps 3 is more powerful than the 360 when used right. you wil see in the future that the ps 3 wins in animations because of the cell. ever herd of folding at home. if this tec was used in a game you see it is more powerful. 360 is good at graphics that is it.
