I doubt that EA would charge their pre-built PCs at a high price, they are trying to promote PC gaming, not scare people away.

That's actually an extremely smart idea. Hope it works out for them.-Wheels-
That's what I thought, good idea right there EA. But please don't bring them to Europe I know what they're like when it comes to bringing stuff out here, it'll probably cost 3 times as much, yeah I'm looking at you Rockband!
Eh... there is already a large pre-built PC market.foxhound_fox
How much does it cost to get a pre-built PC that can play Crysis though? I think they're trying to make it cheaper.
But what happens when the user wants to upgrade?
If a casual is going to buy a PC, they might as well learn to build one first hand themself so that when they want to upgrade their PC a bit they can. Otherwise you're pretty much just buying a console, lol.

System Wars history... somebody says something positive about EA... and two people at that!
Most people are lazy, and why won't they be able to upgrade if they want to?But what happens when the user wants to upgrade?

I'm just saying if you're going to get a PC, you might as well learn to do build one yourself so when "next gen" comes you wont be relying on EA to make another PC.
THere isnt anything wrong with this really, I just think it's rather pointless for anything other than a "this gen" PC.
Quick somebody shoot me, I am actually starting to like EA....
As for those concerned about price, I dont think EA will overcharge that much since the whole idea behind this is to get more people into PC gaming so that they can buy their games. Besides since selling hardware is not their core business they can afford to cut their profit in that department if it helps increase the revenue of their core department which is publishing games.

same here but,
OMG could it be..... EA is poisoning our minds, I hope by the time EA shows again its true color, I wouldnt be blinded by them

I think thats preaty much ea's idea behind the whole thing. Basicly a "console version" of the PC aimed at people that don't know and don't want to know too much about pc gaming. You buy it, you go home plug it in and play. You know you don't have to worry about the fact if games are going to run at it, beacose EA made it based on their games. There is probably going to be a list included on what settings these PCs play EA games and you buy it based on what you want to play.
