BTW, Harley and Solomon Grundy??? Couldn't they just come up with a better choices?? :|

GreenGoblin2099

Harley is a good choice, she's a popular female villain. I would've picked Poison Ivy or Chesire instead - but I'm glad she made the cut.

Grundy is a classic. One of my favorite villains in the DCU and quiet surprised they chose him. Most people would want to see Darkseid or Doomsday, but I think Grundy is the better TANK-villain. He's an undead super zombie, how can you not love him?

Wow, they're really cramming the batman characters in there aren't they?

-Batman

-Harley Quinn

-Nightwing

-Catwoman

Are they even going to make room for the Joker?

in any case, I'm a big fan of both fighting games and DC comics. While I don't expect much from this game, I do expect to have quite a bit of fun with it. I just don't expect it to put a dent in my main competitive game, Street Fighter.

That's one of my main issues with DC. Superman and Batman are like their only franchises that they support. Being an Aquaman fan isn't frustrating enough but it sucks even more when you're also a Flash and Green Lantern fan. I'd love to see characters from their respective universes in the game like:

Black Manta

Ocean Master

Captain Cold (or Captain Boomerang)

Gorilla Grodd

Black Hand

Lobo

The cast is limited(I believe 24-26 characters is the count), so they're reaching for the most popular characters while catering to the comic fans. I wouldn't mind if Joker didn't make the cut, but I doubt they'll leave him out or Lex Luthor. As long as they give me Aquaman - I'm happy.

The fighting game genre really only applies to the hardcore crowd. There aren't that many average or casual gamers that play fighting games these days. That's actually a problem, and it's shows why the fighting game genre has such a small audience. I think fighting games need to be more accessible in this day and age. That doesen't mean they need to be dumbeddown, but they need to have stuff that both the hardcore and casuals can enjoy. I feel like NetherRealm studios really managed to nail that with Mortal Kombat 9. Hopefully they will do the same with Gods Among Us.

[QUOTE="th3warr1or"]I find games like these stupid because one punch from someone like Superman and Catwoman is down for the count. ispeakfact
Well, I think you have to suspend disbelief, even with a subject matter like superheroes, when playing stuff like this.
LOL fighters. Are they even relevant anymore.RR360DD
Not on the 360.

Not on the 360? Because I see a few fighting games in my collection right now and I am pretty sure XBLA has about 4 times as many fighters as PSN.

[QUOTE="Australianpope"] Because KOF isn't shallow?Australianpope

Go and play some KOF and tell me how much of a shallow game is.

I dare you.

The majority of the KOF games are shallow, they were not, then they were, and just now recent games thy are getting better. They were either shallow or broken for the majority of every other game. Or both.

Majority? as in 95 and 96 which are the only ones that i can think of being broken? and 95 because of the ridiculously high damage and 96 because it was the first time they used the new engine.

Anyway, i really hope they put Doomsday, i mean Salomon is classic and all, but i feel that Doomsday is a character that deserves some respect, i mean he killed Superman for God's Sake, at first he was the real deal back in the DCU even if in recent stories he was extremely misused...i mean i liked Infinite Crisis...but what the hell was Doomsday doing there?
