AFter playing the demo for Bayonetta and playing the Demo for GOW 3, GOW just wipes the floor with bayonetta.. What is Edge smoking?

Ive been hearing ALOT of possitive things about Bayonetta, it even got a 10 from Famitsu.

From what I played I think it is pretty clear that Bayonetta is among the top of its class and for Edge to declare it their favourite is a matter of opinion. You know, that thing that differs from person to person and doesn't always match your own?

the game has been getting excellent reviews from a lot of sources. whats the big deal.

How about playing the full game before you put it down. Demos dont always reflect the whole game well.

This will be Infamous VS prototype all over again.. we all know what happened there.. GOW3 VS bayonetta isnt even close

i've found demos rarely reflect a lot of games well. most games are 8+ hours long and a lot of them have gradual upgrades and other forms of awesomeness that you don't really get from the demos. while 15 minutes worth of fights/turns/playing might give a rough idea of the game its usually a very very stripped down version of the full game.

Nintendogs I have played and enjoyed although my interest waned quite quick. Just because a game isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean its a bad game. A good game will usually get a good score unless its reviewed by a reviewer that has no idea type of game it is (I';m looking at you IGN, they reviewed Footbl Manager and game it a low score last year because it wasn't Fifa or Pro Evo).

I played Bayonetta, unlike you, and can confirm it's a title that will get many 9's. Is 10 pushing it? Possibly. But it's one of the best action games in freaking years, period.

Like I said. They were good games (I actually rebeat FF12 a month ago and quite enjoyed it) but they definitely did not deserve a perfect score and that much is obvious.

just like someone here stated, opinions can differ from people top people. Just because he didn't like the bayonetta demo doesn't mean that he hasn't played it because you know he isn't the only one in this thread that stated that the bayonetta demo wasn't too impressive;). Now having not to play the bayonetta or the GOW3 demo, i can't really disclose any suitable opinion about either games, but i'll say that GOW3 takes my vote judging by video previews of both games

It is what it is and has a lot of substance, as in it's deep, and the best players will do some amazing things. Whether the story or characters have "substance" is all opinion, but the gameplay/combat is fact.
