[QUOTE="Cheese-Muffins"][QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]Why are people surprised by this? A Wario platforming game has NEVER been good on consoles. Remember Wario World?
That game was terrible. Yes, I know Wario Land: Shake It is 2d and not 3d. Doesn't change the fact that there hasn't ever been a good Wario platformer on a console...
Shinobishyguy
Umm.... Has there ever been a wario platformer of a console (beside wario world?). Plus, Wario World isnt made by the same team as Wario Land. Wario Land has much higher standards...
But that EDGE review is kind of harsh, but then again, a lot of their reviews are pretty low. Meh, I like to wait for IGN/Gamespot. Besides, Im still picking this gmae up no matter the review.
actually Shake it isn't made by the same team that made the old wario land games. What? It isnt? Oh lol... well it still isnt made by the team that made Wario World.
No more than any other racing game

The bulk of it's tracks where from Mario Kart DS and other, older iterations. The graphics failed to improve from the gamecube version, online was implemented in a very half-assed fashion, and it sill had incredibly archaic gameplay elements like AI which magically catches up.

No it was half and half. Half of the cups were new and half of the cups were from other games. There is nothing wrong with the online Nintendo even does official weekly tournaments. The only problem is the lack of voice chat. The battle mode is also online which was not used on the DS Mario Kart.
One more point when talking tracks again it like other racing games. There only so many tracks before they start to look the same, I would say more so for sim racers.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about.
Half of the tracks are old and half are new, Mario Kart Wii online is the best online the Wii has seen. No lag whatsoever, incredibly easy to do and is a showcase for Wii Wi-Fi.
The only thing you have is that the items are unbalanced, which, isn't even that bad :|.
[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"]They also gave MK:Wii a 6/10. >_>Ninja-Hippo
Which it entirely deserved. :? The game was the very definition of rehash.
*shrug*They also gave MGS4 an 8... I think it deserved way more than that.

I obviously dont know what i'm talking about... because you disagree with me? :|
I consider half a game's content being sourced from older versions to be kinda unacceptable if you ask me. :? And the online IS half-assed in that outside of just joining a game, playing it, and then doing another one that's pretty much all it has to offer.
And it IS that bad because you can go from 1st to last through absolutely no error on your part and no great act of skill from your competitors.
Ok now eplain why Mario Kart is any more of a rehash than GT4 is to GT5.
HarlockJC
GT5 is a completely new game built from the ground up on a new platform. Mario Kart Wii is Mario Kart on the gamecube with added motion controls.

Is that fact that it build from the ground up for a new platform make it any less than what Mario Kart Wii would be to Mario Kart GC. It still a racing game with tracks and cars.

Ummm... I may not be certain on this, but Im pretty sure Mario Kart Wii is not on the Gamecube, nor will it ever be.... Correct me if im wrong, but Gamecube had the Double Dash Rendition. im not seeing Double Dash in Mario Kart for the wii.. :|

LOL this post is a joke. GT5 in the end is the same old simulation racer crap as the previous iterations with shinier cars. Yeah, Mario Kart on gamecube had such awesome online play :P...
And people thought if was better then LittleBigPlanet :lol:ChiddaPotta
No, nobody thought that. But I hardly call one review, from Edge no less, a reliable source.
