The Flop shall chime in-
LBP suffers from the same problem as Puppeteer- a very highfalutin' presentation and narration and whatnot hampered by weird, floaty platforming mechanics. It's the same with Tearaway although a little improved in that title. It's a trend with Sony platformers ('cept Ratchet if you strictly consider that to be a platforming IP). Nintendo - Godfathers of the genre - have nothing to worry about. Their platformers are so much more fun to actually play.

It's an alright list. I'd stick an XCOM, Advance Wars and a Halo in there somewhere.
Man, I forgot about AW: DS, that was a fun game. Takes me way the heck back. If I had to put a handheld game on my list it would pretty easily be The World Ends With You. That was literally a once in a generation game that used it's hardware to the fullest and broke many genre traditions. I also like Halo Reach even if that's not a popular opinion.
