EDGE ranks the ten best games of the generation

Man, I forgot about AW: DS, that was a fun game. Takes me way the heck back. If I had to put a handheld game on my list it would pretty easily be The World Ends With You. That was literally a once in a generation game that used it's hardware to the fullest and broke many genre traditions. I also like Halo Reach even if that's not a popular opinion.

What would your list look like? I've played a lot of games over the last few years but I can't do top 10 lists since after the first 4-5 games it just seems like I'm compromising haha. I also need to play Dark Souls. I always am so close to picking it up then I get distracted and or fear for shitty framerate :P

Oh man, to seriously compose a list would take some serious time. I would hate to forget some early titles that I had a blast with like Super Smash Bros Brawl, Street Fighter 4 vanilla, GeoW 1, MGS4, Rockband 1, Little Kings Story, Metroid Prime 3, God Of War III, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Xenoblade Chronicles, Uncharted 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, or Starcraft II. I'm forgetting sooo many titles right now that it would be tough!

actually not a bad list in terms of the games that had the biggest impact on the industry, the order is fucked but the game list is ok with the exception of little big planet, red dead redemption and maybe bayonette

That's a pretty good list, minus the inclusion of LBP which sticks out. There were a ton of great games in the 7th generation, making a top 10 for one console is hard enough, but making any top 10 for the entire generation is going to make it impossible to agree with.

My own top 10, in no order

Rest of the list is good besides the bold. GTA 5 is whatever.

Swap little big planet with SF IV and thats an almost perfect list, Swap TLOU with Dark souls as well.
