Wow, that was... I don't even know what to say. The reviews were remakrable, I havn't seen anyone give Prince of Persia a 5. As for the awards, they must really like Little Big Planet, which is ok, however saying the Xbox 360 is the best hardware of the year is an absolute insult to good designers. The console is a technical mess, the RRoD is still a big problem. When talking about how good a system is, you don't take about games. You can not build a console from games, and so the system should be reviewed as a system, not as an overall evaluation.

I must remind myself never to buy EDGE, ever. Waste of time.

No that's from a developers stand point, not a consumer. As a consumer if a console fails several times, and often, it can be considered a technical mess. For that reason it is inferior hardware. Value for money is only one factor of a system, and as the actual technology of the PS3 is superior and it is actually of fairly equal value to the Xbox 360 with additonal costs added, it is better hardware.

What more evidence do you want? Google Red Ring of Death, and then come back and tell me the Xbox 360 is a reliable peice of hardware. It's quite simple, nothing as flawed as the Xbox 360 should ever be considered for an award when considering hardware.
