Decide whether sales matter or not.I am tired of them making sales important when comparing the 360 to PS3 .But saying sales are not important when talking about the Wii.,

Sales matter. Games matter too. The higher the sales for a platform, the more dev support the console gets etc etc...

I see far more cows saying the Wii isn't comparable to thePS3 and that the PS3 released a year later and is outselling the 360 worldwide and so its really in first place! But that they don't care about NPD sales.

Well everyone spins the sales argument. Wii owners say we win because we got the most sales, and cows and lems say thats the only thing your winning in. Lems say were in 2nd place and cows just say it was year headstart and price. Cows say you got no exclusives to lems hahaha!!!!

Sales matter to the people who have the most, and don't to the people who have the least. (at least in SW anyway) There's no use complaining about it.

How do you know what lemming will say if this or that happens in the future. If you are looking for an example of hipocrisy here it goes:

Well, I can say that when I'm playing my 360, I'm not sitting there thinking "boy, the fact that around 29 million other people also have a 360 really improves the gaming experience for me". But it's nice to know that it's selling well because it means that developers will be more willing to release their games on the system.

considering the fact the best selling wii game isnt even a game i just dont include the wii as an actual competitor against sony/ms.

Shouldn't we also be asking this of Cows, who keep proclaiming how PS3 WILL triumph in the console wars and that 360 is "destined" to fail?

i cant speak for everyone, but i can say i dont ignore the wii. i just dont talk about it because its a bad console and i dont care about it. its not a matter of ignoring, its a matter of it being of such low quality that its generally just not worth discussing in any context short of sales--and to any rational person, there is no arguement there, it is the undisputed king of the hill. so really, other than the occasional mediocre game that comes out for it, there is nothing worth talking about related to the wii, ever.

Who says they aren't? They just do it in an arse-backwards and slack-arsed manner. Games like Viva Pinata are apparently intended to appeal to this market while actually being very complex and ultimately not accessible at all to a casual audience despite its cuddly appearance... Even games like LBP will leave gamers that aren't "in the know" to some degree fumbling with amateur content that they aren't always getting what they want from (and I know I'll get argument on this, but I've watched my semi-casual nephews trying to pick out PC mods from sites that have ranking systems on them - they end up getting all sorts of stuff that is either good but not their type of thing, or bad mods they picked for bad reasons). They're trying - just not making it their first priority, and doing a meh job at it. They Wii is doing the reverse :pShafftehr

I've always said that sales don't matter, they still do not. But don't act like lemmings are the only faction that do this, cows did it when they had a pretty medicore library but was outselling the 360.
