THIS is probably the most accurate assessment on the whole sales issue. This is why Halo, Gears of War, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy, Forza, Metroid Prime, Metal Gear Solid, Mario games, all get sequels. Not the hardware sales. Would also constitute why 50cent's godawful game got a sequel too, and why shovelware keeps showing up on the Wii.
