Elden Ring and others get Game Pass branding

Speculation around Elden Ring coming to Xbox Game Pass and XCloud has begun circulating online after the game briefly featured logos for both services on its store page.

As reported by several Twitter users, Elden Ring, along with other games such as GTA 5 and Soul Hackers 2, has been spotted with Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming branding on their store pages and in ads for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate(opens in new tab).

It’s thought, though, that this could hint towards the likes of Elden Ring and GTA 5 coming to Xbox Game Pass one day soon. As pointed out by @klobrille(opens in new tab) below, it looks as though Xbox could be gearing up to bring new games to Xbox Cloud Gaming that aren’t currently part of Xbox Game Pass as well.

This seems pretty interesting. MS sure is pushing Xbox Cloud gaming that is for sure. Not my cup of tea. What are your thoughts SW?

Fu** cloud gaming, i rather pirate every single friggin game rather than paying for something i do not own in any way...meaning not even owning it in steam-library-kinda way.

Personally not interested in cloud gaming, but I'm sure it's a great option for others.

Elden Ring would be a good addition to any gaming subscription service.

Hard drive space is cheap, bandwidth is limited, and games shouldn't require you to be online the whole time.

Plus--tinfoil hat moment--I can't help but think they're going to be analyzing our choices the entire time, selling that data to third-parties for marketing purposes. Scary stuff. I forgot what it is called but it's like really deep-core data collection you wouldn't think they'd care about, but they can plug it in to their algorithms and use it to make some pretty weird conclusions, i.e. if you have blue eyes and made choice X in game Y then you are a cat person, and they should send you kitty litter ads. It's the stuff they were alluding to in Westworld.

I will admit, when GP was announced, I thought to myself wow MS is really doing something good. Now that years has gone by since GP was released, this hard push by them with Cloud gaming is making me really sad😢

I love cloud gaming. There are many games I don't want to waste storage space just to try out and cloud gaming makes the process exceptionally easy and data management free.

Could be a bug or perhaps they just let the cat out of the bag too early. Elden Ring would definitely be a big plus for Game Pass.

options are indeed good.. i've also used cloud gaming on my laptop for games i didn't have installed and played a number of cloud games on my smartphone..

Why? Streaming games you own is coming.

I believe this is just Game Pass Ultimate being able to stream games not just in Game Pass catalog but able to stream from gamers libraries. If that's the case, cool.

On downside I haven't been able to get a clean stream of Game Pass in a while, it comes too compressed to be worth playing. Not sure if service is unable to scale to the higher amount of users or something on my end but I have a high bandwidth so it is a bit perplexing.
