They probably know it will go free2play so will milk the launch period for all it's worth. Or, they saw what Blizzard done and want a peice of that.

"There won't be anything like 'bonus points' but we'll have a shop to buy kinda fun stuff and services too, like name changes and things like that. But it's not part of the core game, anything in the core game is included in the subscription price"

Paying to change your name doesn't sound like a free-to-play model.

I would wait to see what all they actually charge for.

Or not playing it would also be a safe bet, I guess.

What a shame, I would have actually bought this game if they didnt have a put a monthly subscription fee. And with this "cash shop" Im even less interested in the game.

That's kind of cool, I absolutely loathe subscription models especially when the content provided is nowhere near what you expect.
