Endless Ocean review tidbits

Score: 10, 8, 9, 8

- feels a little like a simulation, exploring areas gradually
- clever production sucks you in totally
- with the change of camera view, you can get lost at sea
- you can explore the aquatic life as much as you want or you can go looking for events
- there's lots of stuff you can do, play at your own pace
- production is great, you can feel the mystery and magnificence of the ocean
- thanks to the effects of the mysterious music, the game feels very real

I'm really glad this game received good scores in Famitsu as I've been hyping it since I first laid eyes on it. Even though it doesn't interest most people, I want more exploration games like this. Let's hope it gets good scores here as well just so the haters will shut up, not that it matters really...I'm going to be buying it no matter what. ;)

Why is that? Is any game that goes for peace, serenity and relaxation pathetic for you? Should all games have strcitly defined aims and objectives, is action a mandatory requirement? I can see your attitude prevailing amongst gamers in the West, which is a shame, wonderful games like this will be neglected because gamers cannot find enjoyment without being told what, and how to, enjoy.
