[QUOTE="Jandurin"] [QUOTE="Caviglia"]Now where did I suggest that? I was encouraging gamers to broaden their mandate, to not dismiss games outright because they do not give instant gratification or cheap thrills. It is rare that we see such games, let alone ones that are accomplished, they should be celebrated for adding something new to the stagnant mix of genres we have at present.OLDGAMER1972
The problem with this is... part of playing video games is either A) to have fun or B) for some sort of goal (an ending) (or to "win").What does this game bring to the table that makes it worth 50 dollars? What would make me turn it on over, say, Pokemon, or RE, or Metroid Prime 3?
Why wouldn't this game just sit in a corner gathering dust while I considered that its very existence in my gaming library never made a bit of difference?
I'm asking seriously, because you seem to know something about this game that I don't.
You must be young or not so mature. I grew up on the old school games....... you know. Having fun and trying to get a high score. You are lame.
I was merely asking what made this poster so persistent in the belief that the game had value.Getting a high score *is* fun sometimes. Fun is also fun. Ironic that you call me lame and immature on a video game forum, no?
Irony.
I've been playing every type of game *save MMOs* since I was 4.
It's like I'm not allowed to question someone's questioning without getting flamed. I'm sorry if I put it a little too harshly for you. The poster I directed it at seemed to handle it alright.
