Ryse is the only game to use Cryengine 3 at its best and most latest and optimized version, coming from Crytek themselves
Also they said will look day and night better than Crysis 1-2
ChubbyGuy40
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2...MechWarrior Online...Homefront 2.
There's no way they're surpassing Crysis 1, or even Crysis 2 on PC for that matter. They couldn't even pull off a proper Crysis 1 port without mucking it up.
Don't Forget WarFace and oh that's being made by Crytek only for PC :P
looks alight. But compared to KZ3....it isnt king.
ristactionjakso
I'm sorry, what? i didn't know KZ3 was the FPS King :|
and quick question, how is KZ3? i bought KZ2 and absolutely despise that game. That game did not age well nor does it even play well!
i've never been more frustrated with an FPS game in my life like i have with that game :?

Looks mediocre or bad even TBH
Only Crytek uses their engine properly imo, Ryse on 360 will be the next big thing in graphics

Looks great to me. :? Never seen character models like that in a game ever. And isn't Ryse a Kinect onrails game?

At least against the console versions...[QUOTE="Wasdie"]
I'm probably the only one in System Wars that really like WWII games. There is just so much you can do with that era.
psn8214
You're not the only one. I still play CoD:W@W occasionally. I just wish I had more time to play Red Orchestra. :(
Same here, WW2 games are awesome, and it saddens me that they died out right as graphics got good enough to finally make something really cinematic centered around WW2, World at War was as close as it's gotten. Some gameplay, but offscreen and very bad quality. Looks crazy :P :)
Looks... quite good. Not sure what to think at the moment. :?

The guy just mowed down all the enemies like nothing!

Also, whoa one example, unoptimized application of tessellation = Crytek doesn't know how to use their engine.Looks mediocre or bad even TBH

this wireframe Jersey Barrier model from crysis 2 is nearly a solid color
totally a good use of resources right? It has more polygons than most buildings do
No sir, you are not. I love WWII games and would like to see a lot more of them this gen. Anyways, you should all be extremely skeptical about this game as Stuart Black's last project, Bodycount, was a complete piece of trash.I'm probably the only one in System Wars that really like WWII games. There is just so much you can do with that era.

Who cares? The performance hit is next to nothing. You wouldn't even notice the difference between on an off.[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="loosingENDS"]crytek cant even use their own engine properly...just look at the craptastic tessellation job they did You've got an Nvidia card so why are you complaining, the fps hit is minor. Actually will be the 2ond best 2012 game, after Fable Journey
loosingENDS
Maybe if you're only comparing to to mobile/app games and you exclude consoles, PC, and handhelds. Even you should know Fable will never be an AAA game.
Fable 2 was 89/100, so AAA, same score as Demons souls
Fable Journey will be as amazing of course, or better, since now you can travel and explore a huge open world
Ryse is making me drool of anticipation, cant wait to play the ultimate epic in 2012, in both visuals and exiting immersive gameplay, Crytek only makes AAAA titles
Fable scored 8.5 here, or are you using MC or GR, I thought you said we couldn't do that here :oWho cares? The performance hit is next to nothing. You wouldn't even notice the difference between on an off.

A good 40+FPS compared to a crawling 20FPS for no damn reason is pretty noticable.
Where are you getting your numbers? The performance loss is minimal according to the guy who did the HD textures and optimized tessellation. Other similar articles included POM + Tessellation. AAllxxjjnn
That certain'y isn't what others are claiming
Your FPS can come to a crawl by just looking at a wall ffs.

Difference being Maldo separated tessellation from the other effects.[QUOTE="loosingENDS"]crytek cant even use their own engine properly...just look at the craptastic tessellation job they didLooks mediocre or bad even TBH

I'm not sure if this is one instance of the tesselation being applied. But it looks like one (and okay) to me. This is DX11 with the higher-res texture patch.

That's POM. And the complaints regards to tessellation in Crysis 2 aren't wether they look nice or not, it is that it isn't optimized. They tessellate meshes when those meshed had no serious need for tessellation or would have been better using POM, they don't decrease the tess factor as you get farther away, and they even have stuff like the ocean under the level being tessellated when you can't see it.That's POM. Oh. So it's the optimization part. I guess that's probably why I had some unexplained framerate drops at some areas. For someone like me who's happy with upper 20's to +30 framerates, it's not too noticable unless I have fraps running. But, I can see why it would be an issue to others.
