Who is getting tired of hearing the same old thing in System Wars? Everytime a Lemming talks about how good a game is on the 360, the cows come along and say "RRoD". We all know that the hardware has a problem, does that take away from how good the games are? When a Cow talks about how good agame will be on the PS3, the lemmings come along a say "just wait" or "Waitstation". I don't own a PS3, but I know that there are good games now and that cows don't have to wait anymore. Please come up with something original! Vote yes to stop these stupid arguments or no to have everything continue the way it is.

Yeah, but still. RROD is fixed. Good games for the ps3 isn't.. (Not that I'm interested in anyway. MGS4 looks very temping, but I'm not a fan of the series or anything).

The rrod is a BIG thing. Why should we forget about it when MS has yet to fix it and its still a major problem? Have you read the 'broken 360' thread yet in the Xbox forums? Just go and count how many people wont be playing games for Christmas because their 360 is away getting repaired.

Sometimes I get annoyed by all these arguments.

But, at the end of the day when you look at it....It's what makes SW what it is. If it wasn't for these ''excuses'' many arguments and discussions wouldn't exist.

Agreed, I dont know why lemmings think Cows are always waiting and they never did

On my PS3 since launch ive been playing

R:Fom
Cod4
Fight Night Round 3
Warhawk
Heavenly Sword
Motorstorm
Rainbow 6 Vegas

Etc etc, they too had to wait for games like Halo 3, Gears, Mass Effect, Crackdown, Lost Odyssey

RRoD is not fixed, no matter how many times you tell yourself that. And there are plenty good games out for Ps3, nice post though.

I voted yes but I learned something about SW a while ago. This forum is successful ONLY because of fanboys. As annoying as they are, they are also the same ones that sift through the ENTIRE internet every hour to find any piece of new news on their system or the competitions system. This allows for normal gamers like me tocome here, check the front page and find out whats new in the gaming world by sifting through some crappy threads on the front page. Most of these threads also have links to the source of the news. I mean in SW if you post news an HOUR later then when it was posted, its considered old news. This is all thanx to the fanboy.

Trust me, I get very annoyed with fanboys as well, but without their lust for gaming, I would have to work alot harder to get my gaming news.

As tiring and pathetic as all these arguments get (or have already gotten), this is what makes SW... well... SW. If we didn't have SW, all of this garbage would be spread throughout GS and all over teh intranetz. (Even though it probably is anyways, but this is based on just GS).

For the people that think the RROD is fixed, it is not. Even with the Falcon Chips the RROD is happening, they barely did anything.
We will know the day RROD is fully fixed because Microsoft will probly adertise it huge trying to convince people its "fixed"

The thing is, is I am tired of the RROD I mean we all know about it we've accepted and its time to move on. Beside when someone says "oh have fun playing on your broken 360!" Which does not apply to me because mine works fine. But besides the fact that it has this issue, PS3 fans dont want to own up to the lack of games.

There hasn't been any showings of a Falcon chipset Xbox 360 receiving the RROD. It may be to early but signs point towards a greatly lowered chance.

Most ridiculous repeated threads/posts:

1) PS3 has no games - just because it doesn't have an AAAe on GS doesn't mean it has no games

2) RROD - MS fixes for free for 3 years, if you can't do without your console for 2 weeks while it gets fixed i pity you. Cows can't bash games or sales so they need something I guess

3) 360 is a shoota console - Oh please you know it has the most diverse library of any of the consoles at the minute get over it

4) The Wii is teh kiddy - The wii has plenty of non-kiddy games and has the most diverse userbase of any console

5) Criticism of the PC - its wrong, you know it is, but you console fanboys have to try anyway I guess

Lack of good games. Games the the 360 has thrown out there so far have sold more, and have gotten better reviews all around. Maybe I should have used my words better, lets say lack of a good library of games such as what the 360 has represented so far.

The thing is, the PS3 is coming out with good games now, and has a few out already, but the RROD issue is still very much an issue. Sony and game developers are doing things to resolve the games issue on the PS3, and very soon there are going to be plenty of huge games out for the PS3. where as the issue with the RROD is still the same as it was 2 years ago. Untill microsoft either does a recall on all the bad systems, or the issue is confirmed officially to be fixed, and there are no more casses of RROD, it will still be a very bothersome issue for Microsoft. Sony's problems with software will be fixed within the next year. (just due to the sheer amount of games coming out). It is very unclear whether the RROD issue will be resolved by that time.

There are plenty good Ps3 games, not seeing your point here bud.

If you are going to compare it to the 360s, it's not fair to use both years compared to one to the Ps3.

Heres the proof... The last weve heard officially from MS on the rrod is that all 360s have a problem and have a chance of breaking. They then stated that they will be extending everyones warranty to 3 years. The next logical statement on the rrod from MS is 'its fixed.' That hasnt come yet...

Relys

You're spreading lies. That's why we are correcting you.

And where's your proof? I'm pretty sure you don't have one.. Let alone a new one.

And where is your proof? What's that, you have none? Yea, thought so. MS has to prove to us that the new chip has fixed the problem, and by their silence I'm sure you can come to that answer yourself.

Maybe because, I and everyone else I know hasn't had a problem?

Hahahaha, so that means everyone else IN THE WORLD doesn't have the problem. Awesome logic. Will get you far some day.

[QUOTE="Carmilla31"]Heres the proof... The last weve heard officially from MS on the rrod is that all 360s have a problem and have a chance of breaking. They then stated that they will be extending everyones warranty to 3 years. The next logical statement on the rrod from MS is 'its fixed.' That hasnt come yet...Relys

So you're waiting for a big greedy company to offical announce that they ****ed up? Good luck waiting.

You're being awfully stubborn. They already announced they **** up by extending the warranty to 3 years.

"As a result of what Microsoft views as an unacceptable number of repairs to Xbox 360 consoles, the company conducted extensive investigations into potential sources of general hardware failures," the company said in a statement. The three-year extension is for all 360s, and will be retroactively applied to every console bought since the 360 launched. That means anyone who bought a console in November 2005 will be covered until November 2008. Peter Moore, Corporate Vice President of the Entertainment and Devices Division of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business, said he is personally sorry about anyone who's suffered a 360 failure. "We haven't done right by our customers, and for that I apologize," That sounds a lot like the big greedy company officially stating that they ****ed up.

It just proves that we need to stop mentioning it.

Exactly.

A 3 year warranty extensio doesn't fix the problem, it avoids it.
