Notice I said yours, not what you think will win, or what you think deserves to win. What game did you HAVE THE MOST FUN with this year? simple question. I need a simple answer.
Call of Duty 4. Engaging, beautiful, and it even plucks at your emotional heart strings a few times. Plus it is a hell of a lot of fun to play. When I completed it, the sense of pride I had was unparallel to any feeling I have ever had before.
hmmm, thats a hard question.... this year was jammed packed with ausome games, my favorite would have to be super mario galaxy... dont hate, you said 'fun' not graphics or intensity, I dont even have a wii, but I played it at a friends house and I must say that mario has outdone himself :oops:
bioshock was pretty, but a little to creepy for my taste, I was apprehensive at ever turn, the first time somebody ran at me with a rench screaming, "my adam! my adam!" ahhhh good times... :)
Of the contenders I've played so far, I'd have to say Bioshock. I've played COD4, Halo3, Assassins Creed, but havent played SMG yet. I'll be playing it very soon though.
Been a good year for games though not a massive stand out candidate.
Hats off to BIO-SHOCK for my personnal game of the year. Tho it peaks to soon in parts and can become repetitive its an amazing game that offers so much more than a lot of games out there. Who needs multiplayer? lol...
I enjoyed and special mentions to, MASS EFFECT, UNCHARTED, COD4, BURNING CRUSADE, CIV4 BTS, SMG,WIC, HALO 3 among a few others....
Toss up between Uncharted and Call of Duty 4. SMG was great, but I think it's over-rated as some of the gameplay elements sucked imo and it was far too easy for a Mario game.
Still many games I haven't played yet ..the most impressive ones would have to be Orange Box, Stalker and The Witcher. I think OB takes the lead just because Portal was so brilliant and fresh.
This was tough. At first I would have said Halo 3 because it gives a player so much to do. But Bioshock had superb story and atmosphere. It even ventured in the realm of intellectual. Because of this, it transcended the typical gaming experience.
